Information System Manager

A reputed university in the UAE is seeking an experienced Manager, Information Systems to join its ICT team.Reporting to the Director of ICT, the successful candidate will lead the operation, security, optimization, and continuous improvement of the university’s Student Information System (SIS), enterprise applications, teaching and learning technologies, and digital business services. The role will support the university’s digital transformation agenda through systems integration, process automation, operational excellence, and technology-enabled innovation.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day operation, administration, support, security, and enhancement of the Student Information System (SIS).Oversee enterprise applications including ERP, Finance, HR, Procurement, CRM, Document Management, Workflow, and Business Intelligence systems.Manage teaching and learning technologies such as Moodle, Turnitin, online examination platforms, and classroom technologies.Coordinate Oracle application upgrades, integrations, vendor releases, testing, and change management.Work closely with the SIS Project Manager on implementation, UAT, data migration, training, go-live, and transition to operational support.Drive process automation, workflow optimization, systems integration, and digital transformation initiatives.Ensure compliance with information security standards, ICT governance frameworks, and institutional policies.Oversee application support, vendor relationships, service levels, business continuity, and disaster recovery activities.Partner with academic and administrative departments to identify technology requirements and implement solutions that improve efficiency and user experience.Qualifications & ExperienceMaster’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Educational Technology, or a related field.Minimum 7 years of relevant experience managing SIS, ERP, or enterprise applications; higher education experience is preferred.Strong experience with Oracle applications, LMS platforms, systems integration, APIs, workflow automation, and enterprise technologies.Experience managing vendors, implementation projects, system upgrades, UAT, and post-implementation support.Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, Oracle, Microsoft, or ISO/IEC 27001 are desirable.Key CompetenciesStudent Information Systems (SIS) & ERPOracle ApplicationsLearning Management Systems (LMS)Systems Integration & APIsDigital Transformation & Process AutomationInformation Security & ICT GovernanceVendor & Stakeholder ManagementData Analytics & ReportingProject & Change ManagementStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
