Redefine the future of wellness.JOB PURPOSEAssist the leadership team of Jayasom (Amaala) translate the Jayasom’s strategy into actionable programs, and activities, while ensuring the right structure and operational policies and procedures are in place.Provide high level technical support and systems analysis to identify, prevent, and resolve service interruptions in the property’s networks and systems.Ambassador of the company’s wellness and sustainability culture, promote its awareness amongst team members by leading by example and living a healthy and balanced lifestyle.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain effective communication with all levels of the organization and ensure team members have the necessary support to deliver outstanding service.Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, corporate office, guests, ownership.Promote a friendly, dynamic and collaborative work environment that includes, open communication, team work, participation, trust, respect, professionalism and fun.Deliver and participate in meetings as required.Work towards exceeding company’s business targets.Take a positive, resourceful and innovative approach to every project.Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.KEY OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESProvide technical expertise, leadership and project coordination services to support and maintain continuity of the property’s computer systems and networks.Monitor systems usage and needs.Research, identify, and recommend new hardware and applications that will improve the stability of systems and networks.Research, identify, and recommend new hardware, software, and applications to support future and/or complex management information system’s needs.Recommend and implement policies and practices to maximise resource utilisation.Take a lead role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the data recovery aspects of the property’s disaster recovery plan.Analyse information to determine, recommend, and plan layout for type of computers and equipment, to ensure efficient operation and effective use of allotted space.Maintain knowledge of developments in the area of IT systems and hardware and incorporates new developments into the future systems of the resort.Continuously analyse complex business needs and recommend technical solutions.Lead and prioritize the workload of subordinates.Perform the testing and troubleshooting of application software to ensure the integration of the information system with other systems run smoothly to maximize the efficiency of the data flow and decrease redundancy of data collection activities.Maintain a working knowledge of all information systems software and provide support and training to staff on the use of application software and business processes.Review the status of services and progress of projects and present the status of the projects being delivered to the management team as required.Diagnose hardware and software problems and replace defective components.Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software and hardware.JOB REQUIREMENTSQualifications:BSc/BA in Information Technology or Computer Science (preferred)Work Experience:Proven experience as IT Manager in a Resort environmentExperience working with multicultural teamsPre-opening experienceKnowledge:Management of information systemsComputer scienceSoftware applicationsDatabase managementTrends and systems technology in the hospitality industryCompetencies:People managementCritical and strategic thinkingAbility to negotiate and influence othersProblem-solvingInterpersonal savvyCommunicationLeadership and navigationConsultationRisk managementTechnical Skills:Project managementPlanning, prioritizing and administeringIntegration systemsAnalysis and information gatheringPerformance managementTeamwork and collaborationGlobal and cultural awarenessOrganization and time managementAttention to detailAttitude:PositiveCreative and innovativeFriendly and approachableFlexible and adaptable to changeReliableEmpatheticStrong work ethics and integrityDisclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
