Information Technology Field Technician

Position : IT Field Technician Location : Richmond, VARate : CompetitiveResponsibilities: • Install, replace, configure & troubleshoot network switches and hardware.• Support LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, and basic switch configuration.• Rack, mount, cable, label and replace network equipment.• Work with Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, Dell or HPE switches.• Perform switch cutovers, connectivity testing & troubleshooting.• Handle fiber/copper cabling, patch panels & SFP/SFP+ modules.• Maintain ITSM tickets, documentation, photos, inventory & activity reports.• Support network closets, data centers and courthouse IT environments.• 1+ year network switch experience required; Network+/CCST or equivalent preferred.• CCNA, WLAN/AP and structured cabling experience are a plus.• Valid driver’s license + willingness to travel throughout Virginia/overnight required.
