Information Technology Infrastructure Manager

A house-hold brand in Australian Retail is looking to add an experienced Infrastructure Manager to their team. This enterprise organization has been going through successful growth and this is a newly created position within the company.A combination of people management & technical leadership, the Infrastructure Manager will lead of team of 16 people, driving strategy, modernization & operations specifically in the traditional IT infrastructure stack. The IT Infrastructure environment comprises of over 3,000 servers across numerous sites including 3 DCs.What you will be doing:Provide technical and strategic direction for Infrastructure ServicesTake ownership of planning, designing & implementing Infrastructure, back up & recovery technologiesPerform workload management, project planning, forecasting and resource allocationAlign technical activities with organizational strategic objectivesDefine and enhance business processesDevelop robust processes for ongoing optimization of InfrastructureManage a team of technical engineers to ensure operational and strategic needs are metManage and maintain Infrastructure budgetsWhat you will need to succeed:5+ years experience in Infrastructure Management10+ years experience in Infrastructure EngineeringProven people management skillsPrevious ownership of department budgets and forecastingProficiency with virtualization - VMware, Hyper-V, SANsStrong experience / knowledge of Storage, Backup & Recovery technologiesExperience managing DC technologiesExcellent communication skillsIf you think you can be the one to shine in this position please APPLY now for a confidential chat!
