Employment Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join a growing engineering consultancy in Dubai.This is a broad, senior-level IT position that goes well beyond traditional IT support.

You will take ownership of the company's IT infrastructure, cloud systems, Microsoft 365 environment, data integration, business intelligence and digital project systems, while managing a small IT team.The company is currently undergoing significant growth, including the development of a new office and the implementation of new digital systems to support the business as it scales.You will work closely with senior management, engineering, finance and document control teams, giving you significant ownership and visibility across the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesIT Infrastructure & Team ManagementLead the IT setup and infrastructure for a new office supporting approximately 60 employees.Oversee servers, networking, hardware and systems infrastructure.Manage physical and virtual servers, backups and disaster recovery.Oversee Microsoft 365 administration, security, licensing and identity management.Manage and mentor a small IT team.Provide direction on day-to-day IT support and cloud infrastructure.Data & Business IntelligenceDevelop integrations between finance, project management and other business systems.Build API connections into Power BI.Develop executive-level Power BI dashboards for senior management.Build and maintain scalable data models.Work directly with leadership to translate business requirements into useful reporting and insights.Digital Transformation & AutomationLead the technical development of the company's digital project systems.Build SharePoint automation, Power Automate workflows and Python scripts.Develop automated project registers, approval workflows and document structures.Integrate Microsoft Project and other project management platforms.Support the development of a longer-term internal AI knowledge platform.Assess and recommend the appropriate technology and automation solutions as the business grows.About YouWe are looking for an IT professional who combines strong infrastructure experience with hands-on digital, data and automation capabilities.You will ideally have experience with:IT infrastructure, servers and backup/disaster recovery.Windows Server, VMware or Hyper-V.Networking, LAN/WAN, switching, firewalls and Wi-Fi.Microsoft 365 administration and Azure.Power BI and data modelling.SharePoint Online and Microsoft Lists.Power Automate and business process automation.Python scripting.REST APIs, OData or Microsoft Graph API.Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.Identity and access management.Managing or mentoring junior IT professionals.Experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, SQL/SQLite, Microsoft Graph and Azure/Entra would also be valuable.Desirable ExperienceExperience within an engineering, construction, AEC or project-driven environment would be advantageous.Exposure to platforms such as Aconex, Asite, Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar Common Data Environment platforms would also be beneficial.Experience with AI, RAG systems, document automation or internal knowledge platforms would be a strong advantage.What's on OfferAED 25,000 per monthSenior-level ownership and responsibilityOpportunity to lead IT infrastructure and digital transformationDirect exposure to senior managementOpportunity to shape the company's technology and data strategyDubai-based position with on-site / hybrid workingIf you are an experienced IT Manager who enjoys combining infrastructure, data, automation and digital transformation, this could be an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a growing organisation's technology environment.Apply now with your CV or get in touch for a confidential discussion.
