The selected candidate will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of all IT systems, supporting production and business processes – while implementing global IT standards and initiatives.Competencies overview: 1. IT Operations & InfrastructureManage and lead the local IT team responsible for day-to-day IT operations, including infrastructure, user support, and shop-floor systems.Ensure reliable operation of networks, servers, PCs, printers, and production IT systems across all US locations.Maintain compliance with global IT standards, security policies, and data protection regulations.Oversee vendors and service providers for IT hardware, software, and telecommunications.Monitor and continuously improve IT service delivery, availability, and performance.2. Systems & Applications SupportAct as the local champion for the company’s core systems, including: ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central); PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems; Lotus Notes (for legacy systems and workflows).Provide first-line coordination for application issues, enhancements, and upgrades in collaboration with global IT teams.Support data integrity, system access management, and user training for key systems.3. Project Implementation & CoordinationLead local execution of global IT projects, ensuring smooth implementation and minimal disruption to operations.Provide input to global projects from a US manufacturing perspective.Coordinate IT-related infrastructure and system changes for production expansions or process changes.4. Governance, Security & ComplianceEnforce adherence to global cybersecurity policies, data protection regulations, and software licensing requirements.Ensure effective backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.Support IT-related internal and external audits, following up on remediation actions.5. Business EngagementAct as the primary IT contact for US plant leadership and local business stakeholders.Translate local business needs into IT requirements and communicate them to the global IT organization.Promote digitalization and automation initiatives in line with global IT direction.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.Minimum 5 years of experience in IT operations.Proven experience managing local IT teams or project teams and vendors.Hands-on experience with: ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, or similar); PLM systems (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, or similar).Solid knowledge of networking, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and IT security principles.Familiarity with MES, SCADA, or shop-floor integration is a plus.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.A holistic view of IT, understanding how infrastructure, applications, security, and business processes interconnect.Compensation package:120.000 – 140.000 USD / yearly base gross – flexible, depending on seniority and experience15% MBO bonusOne-time relocation support (if necessary)Benefits:Yearly performance bonus401(k)401(k) matchingHealth, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance equal to the annual salaryOptional supplemental life and accidental death coverage Short- and long-term disability insurancePaid time offGood opportunities for personal development Friendly, team-oriented working atmosphere Focus on individual talent and its developmentStable position in a financially healthy company with ambitions for further international expansion
