Information Technology Project Manager

Role: Project Manager - Smart Buildings & ICT InfrastructureLocation: London, Zones 1-2Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + benefitsJob Type: Permanent / Full Time / On-SiteWe are working with an established technology integrator delivering complex smart building and ICT infrastructure projects across some of London's most high-profile commercial environments.Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Project Manager to take responsibility for projects from pre-construction and design development through to installation, commissioning and final handover.The role covers a range of technologies including structured cabling, fibre and copper infrastructure, wired and wireless networks, security systems, AV and IoT solutions.What you'll be doingManaging projects from bid stage and pre-construction through to completion and handoverDeveloping and managing project programmes, key milestones and delivery schedulesCoordinating design development, procurement, materials and site resourcesManaging structured cabling, network and wider smart building technology installationsOverseeing subcontractors, technical teams and installation resource on siteManaging project budgets, cash flow, valuations and overall commercial performanceHolding responsibility for project P&L and ensuring work is delivered within agreed marginsWorking closely with clients, main contractors, consultants and other project stakeholdersCoordinating testing and commissioning, including fibre and copper testing requirementsManaging project documentation, O&M information and as-built recordsSupporting pre-sales and bid teams with programme, resource and operational inputLeading project handovers and ensuring a smooth transition into support and maintenance teamsMaintaining high standards of health, safety and site compliance throughout deliveryWhat we're looking forStrong experience managing ICT, structured cabling, smart building or technology infrastructure projectsIdeally 5+ years' experience within a similar Project Manager positionGood understanding of copper and fibre structured cabling systemsExperience managing patching, WAP installations and associated network infrastructureStrong understanding of the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through to handoverExperience managing subcontractors and technical installation teamsStrong commercial awareness, including budgets, project costs, variations and P&LGood understanding of testing, commissioning, quality control and project documentationExperience across security systems, AV, IoT or wired and wireless networks would be advantageous.Relevant qualifications such as PRINCE2, APM, CTPM, SMSTS or ECS would also be beneficial, although strong relevant project experience will be the key consideration.
