This position is responsible for maintaining and supporting the company’s IT infrastructure, including network systems, user workstations, and business applications. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring system performance, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, implementing security measures, and managing backups and updates. The role also involves supporting staff with technical requests, coordinating with external vendors and service providers, and documenting IT processes and configurations. The specialist will work closely with operations and management to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient technology services that meet regulatory and business requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesManage Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including users, MFA, Conditional Access, devices, shared mailboxes and access permissions.Review sign-in and audit logs and investigate suspicious or unauthorised access.Maintain control over company laptops, mobiles and other devices accessing company systems.Oversee endpoint security, EDR/antivirus, email security, patching and vulnerability management.Manage and independently verify backup arrangements, retention and restoration.Develop and test disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements.Manage firewall, network, Wi-Fi, domains, DNS and other IT infrastructure in coordination with service providers.Conduct periodic user, device and privileged-access reviews.Coordinate cybersecurity incidents and maintain appropriate records.Manage IT vendors and ensure HIB retains appropriate control over its systems, data, administrative access and technology assets.Maintain IT policies, asset registers, access records and documentation required for management, audit and regulatory reviews.Support the secure implementation of AI tools and automation within the organisation.Conduct basic cybersecurity and AI awareness training for employees. Candidate ProfileAround 3–5 years of hands-on IT infrastructure/cybersecurity experience.Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, MFA and Conditional Access.Experience with endpoint/device management, Windows, networking, firewall and cybersecurity tools.Practical experience with backup, restoration and disaster recovery testing.Able to investigate sign-in logs, unknown devices, suspicious access and phishing incidents.Experience managing or working with external MSPs/IT vendors.Financial services or other regulated-industry experience would be an advantage.Microsoft, Security+, CCNA or similar certifications would be an advantage.Interest and practical knowledge of AI tools and automation would be preferred.UAE-based candidates preferred.
