Location: Sharjah and Khor Fakkan, UAE.Job SummaryThe IT Support Engineer provides effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business and will provide technical support to the IT Administration team. He/ She is responsible for supporting and maintaining of all IT-related hardware/software, Business Applications, Cloud, Network communication, and Terminal IT Operations. The position provides exposure to a broad range of IT-related services and activities.ResponsibilitiesResponds to IT technical assistance requests as per Department SLA.Diagnoses & resolves technical hardware, software and Business applications issues.Manage and Maintain Terminal WIFI Equipment’s, RDT equipment in operational condition.Manage and maintain the IT assets inventory in up to date condition.Perform the periodic maintenance of terminal equipment such as terminal WIFI, CCTV, RDT.Installs and configures computers as per standard and business needs.Configures and manage the company the printers and copiers and keep it in operations.Configures and manage the company mobility devices as per IT Policies.Ensures business related software applications are installed and updated.Follow up for Site IT Procurement Requests.Performs security and backup duties for the site.Requests, follows-up, configures, operates, and monitors Site IT Infrastructure, services.Implement corporate polices on the site and escalate in case of any conflicts.Educate the business users on IT Systems and applications and improve the usages for better optimization.Information Security Management System (ISMS):Safeguard Gulftainer Information’s as per Information protection requirements.Implement and maintain an Information Security Management System based on the ISO/IEC 27000 series standards, including certification against ISO/IEC 27001 where applicableImplement and maintain the necessary information security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines, in conjunction with the Information Technology Security Committee.Perform IT compliance monitoring and improvement activities to ensure compliance both with internal security policies etc. and applicable laws and regulations.Participate and support information security awareness, training, and educational activities.Participate and support information security risk assessments and control selection activities.Participate and support Information security audits and remediation.Participate and support relating to contingency planning, business continuity management, and IT disaster recovery in conjunction with relevant functions and third parties.Comply with IT Policies (Governance and IT Security) and comply with all applicable system and security controls /Clause and LAWs.Report an Information Security incident timely manner and action per management direction.Prioritize Information security activities and ensure it is part of day-to-day responsibilities.QualificationsEducational BackgroundBachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science and Technology.Technical Qualification / CertificationMCP / MCSA, CCNA, ITIL preferable.Related Work ExperienceMinimum of 5 years.
