Information Technology Support Engineer

IT Support Engineer (1st/2nd Line)📍 Southwark, London - 5 days On-SiteWe're partnering with an established international organisation to recruit an IT Support Engineer to join their London team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2+ years' IT support experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, user-focused environment with exposure to global infrastructure and teams.What you'll be doing:Providing 1st and 2nd line technical support to local and remote users.Installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Windows and Mac hardware/software.Supporting desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals and mobile devices.Managing and maintaining servers, email, print and backup services.Supporting LAN, WAN and VPN connectivity while collaborating with international IT teams.Working closely with vendors to resolve technical issues and improve infrastructure.Managing incidents through the ITSM platform and ensuring agreed service levels are met.Analysing recurring issues, identifying trends and implementing long-term improvements.Assisting with system upgrades, software deployments and hardware refreshes.Participating in an on-call rota covering evenings, weekends and holidays when required.Promoting IT security best practices to protect company systems and data.We're looking for:2+ years' experience in a 1st/2nd Line IT Support role.Experience supporting users across multiple locations or international offices is desirable.Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio and SharePoint.Experience installing, configuring and repairing PCs, Macs and printer hardware.Knowledge of Dell and Lenovo hardware.Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and WAN technologies.Experience supporting remote users and VPN connectivity.Exposure to Citrix, Terminal Services or VMware environments would be advantageous.CompTIA A+, Network+ or similar certifications are desirable.What's on offer:Join a globally recognised business with an international IT environment.Work alongside experienced technology professionals.Exposure to a broad range of infrastructure and enterprise technologies.Opportunities for ongoing learning and career development.📩 If you're looking for your next IT Support opportunity and would like to hear more, we'd love to have a confidential conversation.
