This position will support and travel to our Houston hospitals & clinics well as supporting our hospital in Dallas.IT technical Support Specialist monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of an organization. Installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMaintains and supports the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systemsExperience with Windows 2008, 2012, 2016 & 2019 Server rolesThorough understanding of client/server applications architectureExperience with Office 365Experience troubleshooting email related issuesCreating and troubleshooting users and groupsPerforms systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery and file maintenanceConfigures software and resolves technical problemsSchedules, installs, and tests system software upgradesTroubleshooting PC/MAC issuesTroubleshooting and resolving LAN/WAN performance, connectivity, and related network problemsTroubleshooting server related issuesConfigure and maintain basic server settingsTroubleshooting general network infrastructure problems including networking equipment, printers, PC/Server hardware, etc.Manage Inventory and assets including but not limited to computer hardware equipment.QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)College degree is preferred, one in something IT related would be even better2+ years of Healthcare IT support is requiredThis is not a remote position, this is an onsite position3 to 5 years of experience supporting Windows PC's/Servers and networks.Proficiency in TCP/IP troubleshooting skills, Proficient problem-solving skillsOther duties may be added as defined.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESAbility to multi-task and adapt to changes quicklyAbility to learn support tools, techniques, and technology used to provide IT support servicesSelf-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environmentTechnical awareness: ability to match resources to technical issues appropriatelyStrong interpersonal communication and team-based skills, must present themselves professionally and communicate well with non-technical clientsStrong documentation skillsExceptional oral and written communication skillsKnowledge of computer hardware, software and equipmentBeing a self-starter as well as a problem-solverBe detail-orientedMust be eligible to work in the United States.WORKING CONDITIONS, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust have a professional appearance and a pleasant, agreeable manner.Must be able to lift and push up to 20 lbs.Must be able to sit for periods of six to eight hours in length each shift.
