The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting end users, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of business systems.The Role:As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering first and second-line technical support while assisting with the maintenance, configuration, and optimisation of the organisation's IT environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to end users via phone, email, ticketing systems, and in person.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues, escalating where necessary.Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade desktops, laptops, operating systems, and business applications.Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with security policies.Monitor system performance and carry out routine maintenance to ensure optimal operation.Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, software licences, and other technology assets.Assist with implementing and maintaining IT security best practices.Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve technical issues and support ongoing projects.Provide basic user guidance and training on new technologies and systems.Participate in an on-call support rota when required.About You:A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.At least one year of experience in an IT Support, Service Desk, or Desktop Support position.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and desktop support.A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, wireless networking, routers, and switches.Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining both hardware and software.The ability to troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.Experience managing user accounts and permissions within Active Directory or similar environments.IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, or similar are considered a plus.Familiarity with ITIL or IT Service Management practices would be beneficial.A valid Category B driving licence.What's on OfferSalary up to 30kJoin a stable and well-established organisation with a strong technology environment.Work alongside an experienced and supportive IT team.Gain exposure to a wide range of technologies and enterprise systems.Excellent opportunities for professional development and long-term career growth.
