Information Technology System Administrator

POSITION OVERVIEWWe seek an accomplished, strategic System Administrator to lead infrastructure excellence and operational continuity at Forest Essentials. This is a pivotal role in our IT department, responsible for managing enterprise-grade systems, ensuring security protocols, and supporting our rapid digital transformation. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with deep technical expertise, a passion for infrastructure optimization, and the ability to align IT operations with our global business ambitions. You will work at the intersection of technology and luxury brand operations, ensuring our systems support seamless experiences across retail, e-commerce, and corporate functions.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Server & Infrastructure Management

• Design, deploy, and maintain high-availability server infrastructure supporting critical business operations
• Monitor system performance, optimize resource allocation, and manage capacity planning
• Execute Microsoft patch management and firmware updates within approved change windows
• Architect and maintain comprehensive backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Leverage cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) for infrastructure modernization and scalability2. User Support & Incident Resolution
• Provide first-line and escalation support for IT incidents and service requests
• Resolve issues within established SLA timelines with documentation and root-cause analysis
• Proactively identify recurring issues and implement preventive measures
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge management systems and incident documentation
• Ensure minimal business disruption through effective issue triage and communication3. Network & Security Administration
• Monitor network availability and manage security policies across the enterprise
• Administer Cisco switching infrastructure (9300, 9500 & above models)
• Configure and manage Cisco wireless APs, controllers, and VPN devices
• Troubleshoot and manage Palo Alto firewalls including policy administration and firmware updates
• Execute vulnerability management, antivirus compliance, and patch remediation4. Microsoft 365 & Enterprise Applications
• Administer Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Exchange Online, Teams, and MS Intune
• Manage Active Directory infrastructure and user access policies
• Support intranet and business-critical applications
• Ensure high availability and optimal user experience across all platforms
• Implement security controls and compliance measures5. Backup, Recovery & Business Continuity
• Ensure 100% backup completion and validate data integrity
• Conduct quarterly restoration testing and document recovery procedures
• Develop and maintain comprehensive DR policies and runbooks
• Perform RTO/RPO analysis and optimization6. Process Compliance & Documentation
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and configuration management database
• Document SOPs, system architecture, and configuration standards
• Prepare audit evidence and maintain compliance documentation
• Support internal and external audit processes7. Automation & Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization
• Develop and implement system monitoring and alerting solutions
• Implement at least 3 process improvement initiatives annually
• Drive adoption of DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code principlesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation & Experience:
• 4-7 years of demonstrated experience as a System Administrator or Infrastructure Professional
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience in enterprise-level infrastructure managementTechnical Expertise:
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server 2016+ and Active Directory
• Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, and Intune
• Hands-on experience with Cisco switching (9300/9500), wireless controllers, and VPN devices
• Demonstrated expertise with Palo Alto firewalls (policy, troubleshooting, firmware management)
• Working knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud platforms
• Experience implementing and managing enterprise backup solutions
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and vulnerability management
• Proficiency with system monitoring and performance management tools
