Team members work closely with clients to modernize and optimize their tech landscapes for real-world success.Role Description The Infrastructure Architect is a full-time, on-site role based in Melbourne, VIC, responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise infrastructure solutions. This role involves assessing current environments, defining target architectures, and creating detailed designs that align with business and security requirements. The Infrastructure Architect collaborates with cross-functional teams, including solution architects, engineers, and project managers, to ensure cohesive delivery and smooth integration of systems and services. Daily activities include producing technical documentation, guiding implementation and migration efforts, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, and participating in architecture reviews and governance processes. The role also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, technology roadmaps, and the evaluation of new tools and platforms.Qualifications5+ years of Architecture experience is essential.Strong infrastructure and architecture skills, with experience designing and delivering robust, scalable, and secure enterprise environments.Proficiency in solution architecture, including translating business requirements into technical designs and integration patterns.Solid system administration experience across operating systems, virtualization platforms, and core infrastructure services.Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid infrastructure models.Knowledge of automation, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible) is highly beneficial.Understanding of security, compliance, and resilience principles, including backup, disaster recovery, and high availability design.Ability to create clear technical documentation and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Proven experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities in a consulting or enterprise environment.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
