Infrastructure Architect - Sr. Infrastructure Architect

Shapes the technology strategy and Architecture roadmap of the bank in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and the Infrastructure teams. The job holder will have versatility of experience in defining business and technology architecture/strategy/roadmaps across multiple technical and business domains.Own and aggressively drive forward specific areas of technology architecture, also provide architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation. Provide technology architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for different technology domains.Define platform architecture and key design decisions for the bank’s Foundation Platform Ensure all non-functional requirements for the platform meet business needs and BCP requirements Ensure all relevant architecture governance, policy, and standards are met Accountable for managing engagement with Audit and all audit responses Maintain and manage all customer facing information and knowledge bases for Platform Architecture and key design decisions Gather requirements and provide continuous feedback loops between business users and Engineering teamsEstablish a highly expert framework of competency in area of expertise within IT Asset infrastructure and servicesDevelop and/or support the tools and methods, and requirements to accurately assess risk, value, and architectural direction of opportunities and engagements within area of expertise or as directed by the managementAssists in the development of major features and implementations, including helping to design the architecture for those features. Collaborate frequently with engineers, developers, and administrators and provide insightful feedback on the process, architecture, implementation, and quality of the productTroubleshoot issues in a timely manner to ensure the stability of applications. Design solution recommendations and enforce consistency across applicationsSteers and validates the solutions Infrastructure design and deployment processes with EA Governance committee (includes software choices, recommendation Buy/Make solution, etc.)Provides technical Approach translated from the business and technical best practices during Architecture Committee.Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree, in Computer Science, Engineering, or MathematicsSr. Infrastructure Architect from 10 – 15 years demonstrating a high degree of proficiency in designing and developing complex, high-quality solutionsInfrastructure Architect from 7 – 10 years demonstrating a high degree of proficiency in designing and developing complex, high-quality solutions3+ year experience in PaaS and/or IaaS environmentsPractical experience utilizing multiple Infrastructure as Code tools. Leveraging best practice through published reference architectures Demonstrable Cloud service provider experience - infrastructure build and configurations of a variety of services including Compute, Containers, Container OS and Container orchestration (E.g. Docker, COS, GKE) Storage, IAM, SDN (VPC and XPN)Experience of working with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) and continuous testing techniques and tools.Skills:Knowledge of organization structure and the business to customer relationships Service Oriented mindset An ability to deal with the stress of competing priorities Diplomacy skills and sufficient credibility to negotiate and communicate with a diversity of stakeholders and IT teams Relationship Management skills Analysis of IT performance and the subsequent tuning Strong Technical knowledge in area of Infrastructure and Application engineering trends
