Infrastructure Engineer-Telecom

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support AT&T's ANT and Open Tool platform environments used for telecom network testing, validation, performance monitoring, and analytics. The role involves managing physical and virtual infrastructure, servers, storage, networking, cloud resources, and test lab environments that support LTE, 5G, IMS, and Open RAN validation activities.The candidate will be responsible for ensuring platform availability, scalability, security, and operational readiness across development, testing, and production environments.Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure ManagementDeploy, configure, and maintain server, storage, and network infrastructure supporting ANT and Open Tool platforms.Manage physical, virtual, and cloud-based environments.Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of infrastructure components.Perform infrastructure upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.Telecom Test Environment SupportBuild and maintain network testing labs used for LTE, 5G NSA/SA, VoLTE, VoWiFi, and IMS validation.Support integration of telecom test tools, probes, and monitoring systems.Maintain test devices, routers, switches, firewalls, and lab connectivity.Ensure continuous availability of testing and validation environments.Server & Virtualization AdministrationManage VMware, Hyper-V, and virtualized infrastructure environments.Administer Linux and Windows servers.Configure and optimize compute resources based on project demands.Monitor infrastructure health and performance.Network AdministrationConfigure and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and routing environments.Support firewall configurations and network security policies.Analyze network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.Cloud InfrastructureProvision and manage infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.Support hybrid cloud deployments.Implement cloud security and monitoring solutions.Manage storage, compute, networking, and backup services.Storage & Backup ManagementManage SAN/NAS storage systems.Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions.Ensure business continuity and data protection compliance.Monitor storage utilization and performance.Monitoring & Incident ManagementDeploy and maintain monitoring systems.Configure alerts for infrastructure health and capacity management.Perform root cause analysis for infrastructure issues.Support production incidents and service restoration activities.Required Technical SkillsOperating SystemsLinux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)Windows Server AdministrationVirtualizationVMware vSphereVMware ESXiHyper-VNetworkingTCP/IPDNS, DHCPVLANsRouting & SwitchingVPN TechnologiesFirewall AdministrationCloud PlatformsAWSMicrosoft AzureGoogle Cloud (Preferred)Storage TechnologiesSAN/NAS StorageBackup and Recovery SolutionsStorage Performance MonitoringMonitoring ToolsSplunkGrafanaPrometheusNagiosELK StackAutomation (Preferred)PythonPowerShellShell ScriptingAnsibleTerraformEducationBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field.Key DeliverablesStable and secure infrastructure supporting ANT/Open Tool platforms.High availability of telecom test and validation environments.Efficient server, network, and storage operations.Reduced downtime and faster issue resolution.Secure, scalable, and compliant infrastructure.Successful support of AT&T network testing and validation programs.
