Job Description –Infrastructure Solutions EngineerPosition:Technical Infrastructure Solutions Engineer / Infrastructure Presales EngineerJob OverviewWe are looking for an experienced and technically strong Infrastructure Solutions Engineer with hands-on knowledge of Servers, Storage, Virtualization, Backup, and Server Migration.The candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, designing suitable infrastructure solutions, preparing technical proposals, supporting presales activities, and working with customers, vendors, and internal sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

Understand customer requirements and provide suitable IT Infrastructure solutions.Design and propose Server, Storage, Virtualization, Backup, and Disaster Recovery solutions.Strong knowledge of VMware / vSphere / ESXi and virtual infrastructure.Knowledge of server migration, P2V, V2V and physical-to-virtual migration.Experience with HPE, Dell, Lenovo, Cisco, Nutanix or similar infrastructure platforms.Good understanding of SAN, NAS, DAS and enterprise storage solutions.Knowledge of RAID, SAN switches, storage replication and high availability.Understanding of Windows Server and Linux environments.Knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V is an advantage.Understanding of backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault or similar.Support the sales team in technical discussions, customer meetings and presentations.Prepare BOQ, BOM, technical proposals, solution architecture and scope of work.Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations for customers.Work closely with vendors/distributors for solution design, sizing and technical support.Perform server, storage and virtualization sizing and capacity planning.Participate in customer site surveys and technical assessments.Support project implementation and provide technical guidance to the implementation team.Stay updated with new infrastructure technologies and vendor solutions.Storage:SAN / NASRAIDStorage sizingStorage replicationHigh AvailabilityEnterprise storage solutionsVirtualizationVMware vSphereVMware ESXivCenterVM creation and managementVM migrationP2V / V2V migrationVMware HA / DRSBackup & DR:Veeam / Commvault or equivalentBackup architectureDisaster RecoveryReplicationBusiness Continuity conceptsOperating Systems:Windows ServerLinuxActive Directory basicsDNS / DHCP basicsQualification:Bachelor's degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.3–7 years of experience in IT Infrastructure / Presales / Solutions Engineering.Relevant certifications such as VMware, Microsoft, Dell, HPE, Nutanix or Veeam will be an advantage.Key Skills:Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills.Good communication and customer-facing skills.Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.Strong presentation and documentation skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good coordination with sales, vendors and customers.Willingness to travel for customer meetings and site visits.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with System Integrators, IT Solution Providers, VARs or Technology Companies will be preferred.The ideal candidate should be capable of taking a customer requirement from initial discussion → solution design → sizing → BOQ/BOM → quotation support → technical presentation → implementation support.
