⚖️ Hiring: In-House Legal & Compliance Officer | DubaiKshetry & Co. is looking for a commercially minded and highly capable In-House Legal & Compliance Officer to oversee legal, corporate, regulatory, and compliance matters across the firm’s international operations.📍 Location: Dubai, UAE💼 Experience: 5–8+ Years🏢 Department: Legal, Corporate & Compliance🕐 Employment Type: Full-Time🌍 Scope: UAE, India, UK, USA & ThailandKey Responsibilities• Act as the central in-house legal and compliance point of contact for the Group’s international operations.• Coordinate legal matters with local advocates, solicitors, attorneys, external counsel, and professional advisors across different jurisdictions.• Oversee UAE corporate and regulatory compliance, including Mainland/Free Zone entities, licences, UBO requirements, corporate records, resolutions, registrations, and regulatory filings.• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, NDAs, employment agreements, consultancy agreements, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, leases, and cross-border agreements.• Maintain central contract, entity, compliance, litigation, and legal-risk registers.• Support corporate governance, including board/shareholder resolutions, minutes, powers of attorney, authorised signatories, and approval processes.• Coordinate legal due diligence for clients, vendors, investors, business partners, transactions, and corporate restructuring.• Develop and monitor KYC/KYB, AML/CFT, conflict checks, sanctions screening, confidentiality, and risk-management procedures.• Provide legal support to HR on employment agreements, confidentiality, IP, disciplinary matters, grievances, and termination documentation.• Coordinate litigation, arbitration, disputes, and external counsel while monitoring deadlines, budgets, and case status.• Oversee intellectual property matters, including trademarks, licensing, IP assignments, and brand protection.• Support real-estate, leasing, procurement, commercial, and other business transactions where required.• Develop and implement internal legal policies covering contracts, compliance, data protection, document retention, legal approvals, and governance.• Monitor regulatory developments across the UAE, India, UK, USA, and Thailand and coordinate with local counsel where specialised advice is required.• Prepare periodic legal, compliance, and risk reports for senior management.• Support the development of legal operations systems, including contract management, compliance calendars, matter tracking, document repositories, and legal MIS.Candidate Profile• LL.B., LL.M., or equivalent legal qualification.• Strong experience in corporate/commercial law, in-house legal, or corporate legal practice.• Strong contract drafting, review, negotiation, and legal research skills.• Practical understanding of UAE corporate and commercial compliance.• Experience coordinating cross-border legal matters and external counsel.• Exposure to UAE Mainland/Free Zone, DIFC/ADGM, UBO, AML/KYC, and corporate governance is highly preferred.• International legal or multi-jurisdictional experience is an advantage.• Strong commercial judgement, risk-identification, organisational, and negotiation skills.• Excellent written and verbal English communication.• Ability to work independently and directly with senior management in a fast-paced international environment.• Familiarity with CLM, legal-tech, document-management, or matter-management systems is an advantage.ImportantThis is a high-responsibility in-house position and is not limited to routine legal drafting.
