Apply & track with Apply EdgeKeynes Institute, a Cambridge International School in Palermo, is seeking an English teacher with native-level proficiency and experience in Early Years and Primary education for a full-time position, with morning and afternoon commitments.Our bilingual approach brings English into children’s everyday learning through storytelling, science, mathematics, art, music, movement and play. We place empathy, curiosity and positive relationships at the heart of the school experience.The role combines independently led lessons and activities with co-teaching alongside Italian class and subject teachers. The successful candidate will work across the curriculum, including all Cambridge subjects offered within our bilingual programme, helping children develop language and subject knowledge together.Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities in English, both independently and through co-teaching.
- Work alongside Italian teachers across subjects, sharing planning, classroom delivery and observations of children’s progress.
- Integrate English into practical, creative and interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Adapt teaching to different ages, abilities and learning needs.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment where children feel supported and confident to participate.
- Take part in morning and afternoon educational activities as part of the school team.Requirements
- Native-level English proficiency.
- Demonstrable experience teaching children in Early Years and Primary settings.
- Ability to teach through English across a range of subjects.
- Strong collaboration skills and readiness to share classroom responsibilities with Italian teachers.
- Confidence in leading a class independently.
- Empathy, creativity, reliability and strong organisational skills.Relevant educational qualifications and experience in bilingual settings, interdisciplinary teaching or co-teaching would be an advantage.
