You’ll bring best practice and unique perspective, run bespoke survey and expert interview studies, and craft data-driven narratives that guide C-suite decisions and investor strategies.Azurite Consulting is a boutique primary research consultancy led by former McKinsey consultants. We work with leading private equity firms, hedge funds, and global corporations to uncover the market signals that matter—and turn them into actionable strategies.This is a hybrid role with the expectation to be in the Jersey City office 2-3 days per week to collaborate and work side-by-side with the team. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop capabilities across the full research process, from translating client business challenges into structured research questions through synthesizing findings into actionable insights and recommendations.Build strong problem-solving skills by partnering with team members to frame business questions, identify key decisions research should inform, and contribute thoughtful perspectives to project discussions.Learn and apply Azurite’s unique research methodologies to support the design and development of surveys, discussion guides, and other research instruments, including defining objectives and drafting questionnaires.Support the design and execution of research engagements by independently managing defined workstreams and project components with guidance from senior team members.Analyze qualitative and quantitative data using Excel and other tools, synthesizing findings into clear narratives, business implications, and strategic recommendations for Azurite’s clients.Create client-ready presentations and research deliverables in PowerPoint ensuring accuracy, clarity, and strategic relevance.Conduct quality assurance activities across the project lifecycle, including survey testing, data validation, deliverable reviews, and final client-ready checks.Support day-to-day project management and coordination activities, including maintaining timelines, communicating with internal and client stakeholders, and helping ensure successful project execution.Participate in senior client meetings, presentations, workshops, and debrief sessions, with opportunities to present findings and recommendations and lead select portions of discussions as experience grows.Develop trusted client relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and a consultative approach to addressing client needs and challenges.Identify opportunities to improve team processes, best practices, and ways of working, including the appropriate and effective use of AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency and quality.Balance multiple projects and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organization, adaptability, and ownership of deliverables.Take responsibility for the quality, accuracy, and integrity of assigned work while operating with increasing independence and demonstrating strong potential for future leadership and client management responsibilities. Qualifications, Skills & Competencies· Strong interest in joining a boutique research and consulting firm with an entrepreneurial mindset and growth-oriented culture.· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.· 2-3 years of experience in a consulting, insights, research, and / or analytics, insights role.· Demonstrated ability to analyze, synthesize, and translate data into clear, actionable business insights and recommendations.· Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, including developing client-ready presentations, data visualizations, pivot tables, and analytical models.· Foundational understanding of statistical concepts and research methodologies.· Strong conceptual, analytical and quantitative thinking, intellectual curiosity, and interest in primary research and survey-based senior executive insights.· Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.· Strong business acumen and a consultative, problem-solving mindset.· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.· Collaborative team player who demonstrates initiative, accountability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work with professionalism and integrity.
