- Analyse customer requirements for product inspection and in-line quality control.
- Evaluate production-line characteristics including speed, throughput, product dimensions and packaging format.
- Support technical selection of metal-detection systems.
- Support technical selection and configuration of checkweighing systems.
- Evaluate weighing accuracy and repeatability requirements.
- Review product characteristics that may affect detection or weighing performance.
- Support definition of sensitivity requirements for contaminant detection.
- Evaluate inspection requirements for packaged and unpackaged products.
- Support integration of inspection systems into existing production lines.
- Review conveyor speed and product-spacing requirements.
- Evaluate reject mechanisms and reject-confirmation systems.
- Support technical definition of line-control interfaces.
- Coordinate communication between inspection equipment and upstream/downstream machinery.
- Review requirements involving PLC signals, alarms and production-line interlocks.
- Support data-logging and production-quality reporting requirements.
- Analyse false-reject and false-accept scenarios.
- Support optimisation of inspection performance while maintaining production throughput.
- Assist with technical trials and product testing.
- Support FAT and SAT preparation and review.
- Participate in commissioning and validation activities where applicable.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues involving detection performance, weighing variation or line integration.
- Support preparation of technical specifications and equipment questionnaires.
