Inspector (UAEN)

Job Purpose:The Inspector will conduct inspections of licensed courier operators, including site visits, documentation reviews, and compliance evaluations, to identify and report any breaches or violations. This role ensures adherence to licensing policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:Policy & ProcedureSupport inspection operations of licensed courier operators in line with relevant regulations and departmental objectives.Adhere to company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Inspection OperationsConduct site visits to licensed courier operators to observe operations, collect data, and assess compliance against licensing, quality, and service standards.Perform ad-hoc inspections as required and document findings for corrective actions or enforcement.Monitor and support resolution of violations and track corrective measures.Liaise with operators to gather operational insights and support effective decision-making.Conduct research and provide recommendations related to licensing policies and industry regulations.ReportingPrepare detailed inspection reports highlighting compliance gaps, findings, and recommendations for review by management.Stakeholder CollaborationDevelop and maintain relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure efficient inspection operations.Other ResponsibilitiesUndertake any other tasks as assigned by the line manager to support inspection and compliance operations.Decision-Making AuthorityRecommendations are provided under guidance of the line manager.Must act within policies and procedures; functional-level policy approval may be required.Communication & Working RelationshipsInternal: Cross-functional collaboration with Licensing and Audit teams.External: Licensed courier operators.Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma in Business Administration or a related field.4–5 years of experience in the postal, courier, or related regulatory sector.Technical CompetenciesUnderstanding of licensing policies and compliance procedures.Ability to handle violations and resolve breaches efficiently.Strong analytical and report-writing skills.Commercial acumen and attention to detail.Behavioral CompetenciesCustomer service orientationAccountability and ownershipQuality focusInitiative and innovationTeamwork and collaboration
