This role will work closely with institutional investors, retail clients, traders, research teams, and internal stakeholders to deliver efficient and high-quality equity brokerage services.🎯 Key Responsibilities• Manage and support institutional and retail equity brokerage activities across relevant markets.• Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, retail clients, fund managers, brokers, and other market participants.• Understand client investment objectives, trading requirements, and service expectations.• Support the execution and coordination of equity orders in accordance with client instructions and applicable procedures.• Monitor equity markets, trading activity, market trends, liquidity, and relevant market developments.• Provide clients with timely market information, trading updates, and relevant equity market insights.• Coordinate with traders, research analysts, operations, compliance, and settlement teams to ensure smooth trade execution and processing.• Support institutional client coverage, retail client servicing, account development, and business relationship management.• Identify new client acquisition, cross-selling, and revenue growth opportunities within the brokerage business.• Assist with equity research distribution, market commentary, company updates, and investment-related information where applicable.• Monitor client trading activity, transaction volumes, revenue performance, and key brokerage KPIs.• Maintain accurate client records, trading information, account documentation, and CRM data.• Support onboarding and account-opening processes in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.• Ensure all brokerage activities follow applicable securities regulations, internal controls, compliance procedures, and market rules.• Prepare client reports, trading summaries, performance updates, and management reports.• Identify operational, market, and client-related risks and escalate issues to the appropriate teams.• Stay updated on equity markets, financial regulations, trading technologies, and industry developments.✅ Requirements• Proven experience in equities brokerage, securities trading, investment banking, capital markets, wealth management, or a related financial services role.• Strong understanding of equity markets, brokerage operations, order execution, and trading processes.• Experience supporting institutional clients, retail investors, or corporate investment clients is preferred.• Strong knowledge of financial markets, equity products, market structures, and trading terminology.• Excellent client relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills.• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and time-sensitive trading environment.• Strong understanding of compliance, risk management, KYC, AML, and securities market requirements.• Experience with brokerage platforms, trading systems, Bloomberg, Reuters, CRM, or other financial technology platforms is an advantage.• Strong sales and business development capabilities are preferred for client-facing responsibilities.• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial and client information professionally.• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Investment, or a related field is preferred.• Relevant securities, capital markets, investment, or financial services certifications are an advantage.🌟 What We Offer• Opportunity to work directly with institutional investors, retail clients, and equity market participants.• Exposure to equity markets, securities trading, brokerage operations, capital markets, and investment services.• Opportunity to develop expertise in institutional and retail client coverage and equity brokerage.• Career progression into Senior Equities Broker, Institutional Sales Manager, Equity Sales Trader, Brokerage Manager, Head of Equities, Capital Markets Director, or Head of Brokerage roles.• A fast-paced, professional, and market-focused working environment.• Training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.• Competitive compensation, performance incentives, and comprehensive benefits package. and preparedness for everyday challenges. Volunteers support the planning and delivery of society events, workshops, and training sessions focused on life skills such as public speaking, networking, first aid awareness, and online safety. Daily tasks may include coordinating logistics, promoting activities on campus and online, assisting with participant registration, and preparing materials and venues. Volunteers also help facilitate sessions, gather feedback from attendees, and collaborate with society leaders to improve programs. The role involves regular communication with students, staff, and external partners to strengthen engagement and maintain a positive, inclusive community.QualificationsStrong interest in developing and promoting life skills such as communication, public speaking, and networking.Organizational and time-management abilities to support event planning, coordination, and follow-up.Effective interpersonal skills, including active listening, teamwork, and a collaborative approach in a diverse student community.Basic digital literacy and comfort using common productivity tools and social media to support outreach and communication.Reliability, initiative, and a proactive attitude toward taking responsibility and solving problems independently.Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage in a multicultural environment.Current UOWD student or community member familiar with campus life; prior volunteering or student leadership experience is a plus.
