Apply & track with Apply EdgeAt EFS Facilities Services, we are looking for a creative, hands-on and experienced Instructional Design & Digital Learning Specialist to develop engaging, practical and scalable learning solutions for our professional and functional workforce. This role is critical in converting business knowledge, policies, processes, systems and capability requirements into structured digital and blended learning experiences. Role OverviewThe role will be responsible for the end-to-end design and development of eLearning, microlearning, learning videos, facilitator materials, assessments, simulations and other digital learning assets. Working closely with functional SPOCs and Subject Matter Experts, the successful candidate will independently convert business briefs and raw content into complete, professional learning products. The primary focus of this position is instructional design and content development rather than classroom training delivery. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct learning-needs analysis and translate business requirements and capability gaps into clear learning objectives and measurable outcomesDesign structured learning journeys across professional, functional, leadership, digital, commercial and business-process topicsIndependently develop interactive eLearning and microlearning modules using Articulate Storyline, Rise 360 or comparable authoring toolsProduce LMS-ready and SCORM-compliant learning contentDevelop instructional storyboards, facilitator decks, participant workbooks, job aids, infographics, simulations, case studies, videos and assessment materialsConvert policies, SOPs, business processes, system workflows and functional knowledge into practical, learner-friendly contentWork closely with SMEs and functional SPOCs to gather, validate, structure and obtain approval for course contentCreate scenario-based, decision-based and simulation-based learning experiencesWrite clear instructional content, knowledge checks, learner feedback, scripts and assessment questionsCreate or coordinate learning videos, animated explainers, voiceovers and screen recordingsUse Generative AI to support course outlining, storyboarding, instructional writing, scenario creation, assessments, videos and learning-content adaptationReview and validate AI-generated content to ensure accuracy, confidentiality and organisational relevanceConduct instructional, editorial, visual and functional quality reviews before content publicationManage multiple learning-content projects, SME inputs, review cycles, approvals and delivery timelinesMaintain organised source files, published versions, development records and content version controlWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, Learning and Development, Human Resources, Communications, Multimedia, Business or a related disciplineApproximately 4–7 years of relevant experience in instructional design, digital learning, eLearning development, learning-content development or learning experience designProven experience developing learning content for corporate and white-collar employee populationsHands-on proficiency in Articulate Storyline and/or Rise 360Strong instructional storyboarding and content-writing capabilityGood understanding of adult-learning principles and instructional-design frameworks such as ADDIE, SAM or Bloom’s TaxonomyExperience working directly with SMEs and business stakeholdersFamiliarity with LMS platforms, SCORM-compliant content and digital-course publicationStrong ability to simplify complex information and convert it into clear, engaging learning experiencesStrong visual sense, attention to detail and project-management capabilityExperience with Canva, Vyond, Camtasia, Synthesia, Adobe Captivate or similar multimedia platforms will be advantageousUAE or GCC corporate experience will be preferred but is not mandatory Mandatory Portfolio RequirementShortlisted candidates must provide a portfolio containing two or three learning solutions personally designed and developed by them. The portfolio should ideally include:One complete eLearning module developed using Storyline or Rise 360One instructional storyboard or course-design documentOne microlearning module, video, simulation, job aid or infographicExamples of assessments or scenario-based learningA clear explanation of the candidate’s individual contribution to each project
