We are seeking an experienced Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) to join a team supporting the development and delivery of high-quality training solutions for a federal client.This is a fully remote opportunity with the flexibility to work from your home or corporate office. The position requires approximately one on-site visit per year to Dallas, Texas, providing an opportunity to meet with the project team and client stakeholders in person.If you enjoy taking complex information and transforming it into engaging, effective learning experiences, this opportunity offers the chance to apply your instructional design, technology, multimedia, and visual design expertise to meaningful projects.What You'll DoAs an Instructional Systems Designer, you will collaborate with client personnel and subject-matter experts to design, develop, and enhance training solutions across multiple formats.Your responsibilities will include:Design and develop Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT), Web-Based Training (WBT), videos, and job aidsConvert existing training and course materials into updated and engaging learning experiencesApply instructional design principles and adult learning methodologiesCollaborate with subject-matter experts to develop accurate and effective contentDevelop technical and instructional documentationIncorporate multimedia, graphics, interactive elements, and other learning technologiesCreate visually appealing presentations and instructional materialsUse client-provided templates, standards, and guidelinesTest, review, and refine learning products before deliveryParticipate in project meetings, design reviews, and stakeholder discussionsSupport web-based course development and quality assuranceWhat You BringRequiredBachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, or a related field5+ years of professional instructional design experienceExperience developing training across multiple delivery formatsStrong technical writing and editing skillsExperience converting existing course materialsExperience with web-based course developmentExperience with multimedia and instructional authoring toolsStrong visual design skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently in a remote environmentDHS Trusted Tester certification required for the designated ISD resourceTechnology ExperienceStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly: Microsoft WordAdvanced formattingStylesTablesHeaders and footersTables of contentsSection/page breaksField codesMacrosMicrosoft PowerPointSlide mastersLayouts and placeholdersLayeringImage manipulationPresentation designMacrosMicrosoft ExcelData entryFormattingSorting and filteringPreferred ExperienceExperience with any of the following is highly desirable:Lectora InspireCamtasiaAdobe ConnectAdobe PhotoshopAdobe IllustratorMicrosoft TeamsDHS Trusted TesterOther e-learning, multimedia, or instructional authoring platformsWhy This Opportunity?100% remote work environmentApproximately one annual on-site visit to Dallas, TexasOpportunity to support meaningful federal training initiativesWork with experienced professionals and subject-matter expertsOpportunity to apply both instructional design and technology expertiseCompetitive compensation based on experience and qualificationsWork that combines instructional design, multimedia, technology, and visual communicationCompensation$105,000–$175,000 annually, commensurate with experience, technical expertise, and qualifications.Equal OpportunityWe are an equal opportunity employer committed to a professional, collaborative, and inclusive work environment.
