We value technical precision, safety awareness, practical problem-solving, and continuous improvement.The RoleWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Instrument Technician to support instrumentation maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration coordination, technical documentation, and equipment performance activities. This part-time, fully remote role is suited to an experienced technician who can analyze technical issues, communicate effectively with engineering and maintenance teams, and provide practical support for instrumentation-related requirements.The successful candidate will contribute to equipment reliability, accurate measurement, operational efficiency, and effective maintenance planning.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring of industrial instrumentation.Review instrument readings, technical information, maintenance records, and equipment status.Assist with calibration planning, verification activities, and documentation of instrument performance.Diagnose potential instrumentation faults and recommend appropriate corrective actions.Coordinate with engineers, maintenance personnel, vendors, and operational teams on technical requirements.Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, calibration results, and equipment issues.Review technical drawings, manuals, specifications, and instrumentation documentation as required.Monitor recurring equipment problems and support root-cause analysis and improvement initiatives.Promote adherence to established safety procedures, maintenance practices, and quality standards.Prepare technical updates and reports while escalating critical instrumentation issues promptly.RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent technical qualification in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field is preferred.3+ years of professional experience in instrumentation, industrial maintenance, automation, or a related technical environment is preferred.Strong understanding of industrial instruments, measurement systems, sensors, control devices, and basic calibration principles.Familiarity with troubleshooting instrumentation faults and interpreting technical documentation.Knowledge of preventive maintenance, inspection procedures, equipment records, and technical reporting.Proficiency with spreadsheets, maintenance systems, digital documentation, and standard workplace tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with careful attention to technical detail.Ability to communicate technical information clearly to engineering, maintenance, and operational stakeholders.Strong understanding of workplace safety, reliability, and quality expectations.Ability to work independently, prioritize technical tasks, and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.What We OfferFlexible part-time hours within a fully remote working environment.Competitive compensation aligned with experience and technical responsibilities.Opportunities to strengthen instrumentation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting expertise.Exposure to diverse industrial projects and cross-functional engineering initiatives.Opportunities to contribute to reliability improvements and more efficient maintenance processes.A professional technical culture focused on safety, accuracy, teamwork, and continuous development.
