Apply & track with Apply Edge🗂 We’re Hiring: Instrumentation Technician🕒 Employment Type: Full-Time💼 Level: Junior to Mid-LevelWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation Technician to install, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control systems. This role will support reliable plant and equipment operations by ensuring measurement instruments, control devices, and related systems operate accurately and safely.🎯 Key Responsibilities• Install, calibrate, test, maintain, and repair instrumentation and control equipment.• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of instruments and control systems.• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and instrumentation-related faults.• Calibrate measurement devices such as pressure, temperature, flow, level, and process control instruments.• Perform functional testing and verification of instrumentation systems to ensure accurate operation.• Diagnose equipment failures and implement appropriate corrective actions.• Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, instrument specifications, and manuals.• Maintain accurate records of calibration, maintenance, inspections, repairs, and equipment history.• Support installation and commissioning of new instrumentation and control equipment.• Work with PLC, DCS, SCADA, transmitters, sensors, control valves, and other industrial control systems where applicable.• Assist engineers and maintenance teams with instrumentation-related projects and technical improvements.• Ensure all maintenance and calibration activities comply with safety procedures, technical standards, and company requirements.• Maintain proper inventory and usage records for instrumentation tools, spare parts, and equipment.• Participate in equipment testing, shutdown maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities when required.• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, measurement accuracy, and maintenance efficiency.✅ Requirements• Proven experience as an Instrumentation Technician, Instrument Technician, Control Technician, or in a related technical role.• Strong understanding of industrial instrumentation, measurement systems, and control equipment.• Hands-on experience with calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation.• Knowledge of pressure, temperature, flow, level, and process measurement instruments.• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.• Basic knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, or industrial automation systems is an advantage.• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.• Good attention to detail and ability to work safely around industrial equipment.• Ability to use electrical and instrumentation testing tools effectively.• Strong communication and teamwork skills.• Ability to work independently and respond effectively to equipment issues.• Technical diploma, certificate, or Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field is preferred.🌟 What We Offer• Opportunity to develop hands-on expertise in instrumentation, calibration, and industrial control systems.• Exposure to industrial automation, process control, maintenance, and measurement technologies.• Career progression into Senior Instrumentation Technician, Instrumentation Engineer, Control Systems Engineer, Instrumentation Supervisor, Maintenance Engineer, or Instrumentation Manager roles.• A technical, safety-focused, and collaborative working environment.• Training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.• Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.
