Integration Architect — Unified Data Platform (UDP)Location: Dubai, UAELevel: Senior / PrincipalWe are seeking a Senior Integration Architect to lead the integration architecture for a Unified Data Platform (UDP) within a healthcare environment. The role will own the design of middleware, interfaces, APIs, and secure data-exchange patterns connecting EHR/HIS, LIS, RIS/PACS, pharmacy, claims, and Health Information Exchange (HIE) platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine integration architecture, interface requirements, data flows, and integration patterns across healthcare source systems.Design and implement middleware/interface-engine architecture, including routing, transformation, queuing, retries, and error handling.Develop HLD/LLD, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), field mappings, and transformation specifications.Ensure interoperability using HL7 v2/v3, FHIR R4, DICOM, and IHE profiles (PIX/PDQ, XDS.b).Design REST/SOAP APIs and API gateway policies, including authentication, versioning, and security.Support integration with regional/national HIE platforms such as Malaffi, Riayati, or equivalent.Establish integration monitoring, alerting, observability, and interface-health dashboards.Ensure secure integration using OAuth2/OIDC, mTLS, and encryption, aligned with applicable UAE healthcare data/privacy requirements.Coordinate integration testing, conformance testing, and go-live activities with vendors and client teams.Partner closely with Solution Architects, Data Engineering, Business Analysis, and Technical Project Management teams.Required Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.10–14 years of IT experience, including 5+ years as an Integration Architect in healthcare/health IT.Strong hands-on expertise in HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and IHE standards.Experience with integration platforms such as Mirth/NextGen Connect, InterSystems IRIS/Ensemble, Rhapsody, MuleSoft, Azure, or AWS.Strong REST/SOAP API and API management experience.Experience with healthcare HIE integration; Malaffi/Riayati or GCC HIE experience preferred.Knowledge of UAE healthcare data privacy requirements and DDA data classification/interoperability guidelines.Good understanding of OAuth2/OIDC, mTLS, and data encryption.English fluency required; Arabic is an advantage.UAE availability preferred.HL7/FHIR, TOGAF, or cloud integration certifications are a plus.
