infrastructure that connects VoiceCare AI's agentic platform with EHRs, practice management systems, payer systems, clearinghouses, and other healthcare applications.This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare interoperability, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and Generative AI, while solving complex integration challenges that directly impact healthcare organizations and their patients.What You'll DoHealthcare IntegrationsDesign, build, test, and maintain integrations between VoiceCare AI and healthcare systems, EHRs, practice management platforms, payer portals, clearinghouses, and third-party applications.Work with healthcare interoperability standards including FHIR, HL7v2, X12/EDI, CDA, CCD, and REST APIs.Develop integrations using APIs, webhooks, event-driven architectures, and secure data exchange mechanisms.Build and maintain integrations with platforms such as Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, athenaHealth, ModMed, and other healthcare applications.Troubleshoot integration issues across APIs, data pipelines, authentication, networking, and customer environments.Develop robust data transformation and mapping pipelines between disparate healthcare systems.API & Integration EngineeringBuild scalable, secure, and reliable integration services and APIs.Develop schema mappings and transformations across different healthcare data models.Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, SMART on FHIR, API keys, JWT, and other secure protocols.Build reusable integration components and frameworks to accelerate onboarding of new customers and partners.Monitor integration performance, reliability, latency, and failures and proactively resolve production issues.Write automated tests and documentation for integration services and workflows.AI-Native IntegrationsWork closely with AI Agent and platform engineering teams to enable AI agents to securely interact with healthcare systems.Explore emerging technologies such as Model Context Protocol (MCP), agentic workflows, contextual APIs, and AI-powered data transformation.Help develop intelligent approaches for data normalization, schema mapping, extraction, and validation using Generative AI.Build integrations that allow VoiceCare AI agents to retrieve information and take authorized actions across healthcare systems.Contribute to the development of AI-native interoperability frameworks.Cloud & Platform EngineeringDeploy and operate integration services in cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.Work with containers, Kubernetes, microservices, and cloud-native infrastructure.Implement secure data pipelines for handling sensitive healthcare information.Participate in monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, and production support.Help improve the scalability, reliability, and security of VoiceCare AI's integration platform.CollaborationWork closely with Product, AI/ML, Backend Engineering, Infrastructure, Customer Success, and Implementation teams.Collaborate directly with customers and technology partners to understand integration requirements and resolve technical issues.Translate complex customer workflows into scalable technical solutions.Contribute to technical design documents, architecture discussions, and engineering best practices.Required Skills & ExperienceSenior Integration Engineer4+ years of software engineering/integration experience, with significant experience in healthcare technology.Strong hands-on experience with FHIR, HL7v2, X12/EDI, REST APIs, OAuth2, and SMART on FHIR.Experience integrating with EHRs, practice management systems, clearinghouses, payer systems, or healthcare platforms.Experience with APIs and integration platforms such as Redox, Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, InterSystems, or similar technologies.Strong backend development experience in one or more of Python, Java, Node.js, or Go.Experience building scalable APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and integration services.Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, API security, and secure healthcare data exchange.Experience with cloud platforms such as GCPFamiliarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring, and cloud-native architectures.Experience troubleshooting production integrations and working directly with enterprise customers.Strong understanding of healthcare data models and the challenges of mapping data between systems.Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, MCP, or AI-agent architectures is a strong plus.Experience with Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, Denticon, NextGen, or other EHR/PM systems.Experience with Redox, Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, or InterSystems.Experience with healthcare claims, eligibility, benefits, prior authorization, or revenue cycle management workflows.Experience with X12 transactions such as 270/271, 276/277, 837, and 835.Experience with SMART on FHIR applications.Experience with event-driven architectures, Kafka, Pub/Sub, or similar technologies.Experience with MCP and AI-agent frameworks.Experience using LLMs for data extraction, normalization,
