The team is committed to ethical, patient-centered care and long-term collaboration with hospitals and clinics.Role Description The Intensivist (MBBS) will provide comprehensive medical care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex conditions. Daily responsibilities include monitoring patients, ordering and interpreting investigations, initiating and adjusting treatment plans, and coordinating multidisciplinary care with nursing, anesthesiology, and other specialties. The role involves participation in clinical rounds, documentation of patient progress, and adherence to evidence-based protocols and infection control standards. The Intensivist will also communicate with families about patient status and treatment options, support quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to training and guidance of ICU staff. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Garhwa.Qualifications Strong foundation in general Medicine with an MBBS degree from a recognized institution and valid medical registration.Competence in Pulmonology for managing respiratory failure, ventilator care, and related ICU conditions.Exposure to or training in Anesthesiology for airway management, sedation, and peri-procedural care.Experience or certification in Critical Care Medicine, including management of sepsis, shock, and multi-organ dysfunction.Ability to collaborate effectively with Critical Care Nursing teams to ensure safe, continuous patient monitoring and care.Strong clinical decision-making, emergency management, and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.Clear, compassionate communication skills for interactions with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.Willingness to work on-site in Garhwa and participate in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Prior ICU or emergency department experience is highly beneficial; additional critical care certifications are an advantage.
