This position serves as the primary liaison between Camargo Racquet Club, GCITA, team captains, players, tennis professionals, and interclub coordinators from other participating clubs.The Interclub Coordinator ensures Camargo's teams are appropriately organized, properly placed, well communicated with, and operated in accordance with league and club policies. The coordinator should also work to provide a positive and competitive experience for Camargo members participating in interclub play.Primary ResponsibilitiesServe as Camargo Racquet Club's primary contact for GCITA and other participating clubs.Maintain a working knowledge of current GCITA rules, divisions, schedules, deadlines, eligibility requirements, and league procedures.Coordinate Camargo's participation, including women's weekday singles and doubles, women's weekend singles and doubles, men's weekend singles and doubles, and other applicable GCITA leagues.Determine the number of Camargo teams participating each season in coordination with club management and tennis professionals.Assist with evaluating player levels and placing players on teams that are appropriate for their ability and competitive level.Work with the tennis director and management when player placement or team-level decisions require additional evaluation.Recruit and appoint team captains and provide them with the information and resources needed to manage their teams.Maintain accurate team rosters and submit required team and player information by GCITA deadlines.Coordinate league schedules with GCITA, opposing clubs, Camargo management, and team captains.Communicate schedules, rule changes, deadlines, cancellations, rescheduling information, and other league updates to captains and players.Serve as the first point of contact for questions or issues involving interclub scheduling, rosters, player eligibility, substitutions, or league procedures.Assist captains with finding eligible substitutes when necessary and maintain substitute/player availability information when practical.Monitor team participation throughout the season and address roster shortages or other issues that could affect a team's ability to compete.Ensure match results, scores, or other required information are submitted accurately and on time when the club is responsible.Coordinate postponed or rescheduled matches with team captains and opposing clubs.Help resolve interclub disputes or concerns professionally and involve club management when appropriate.Promote good sportsmanship and ensure Camargo players and captains represent the club appropriately during home and away competition.Attend monthly GCITA meetingsCommunication & CoordinationThe Interclub Coordinator is expected to maintain regular communication with:Camargo Racquet Club managementInterclub coordinators from other participating clubsCamargo tennis professionals and captainsCommunicate important league information promptly and consistently so captains and players understand schedules, deadlines, rules, and expectations.Qualifications & ExpectationsThe ideal Interclub Coordinator should:Have a strong understanding of tennis and competitive league play.Be familiar with general playing levels.Be highly organized and capable of managing multiple teams, schedules, and deadlines simultaneously.Communicate professionally and promptly with members, captains, staff, and representatives of other clubs.Be comfortable making fair, objective decisions about team organization and player placement.Handle disagreements and competitive situations calmly and professionally.Represent Camargo Racquet Club professionally in all interactions with GCITA and participating clubs.
