Interim Chief Technology Officer

Our client is seeking an Interim Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the execution of a large-scale technology transformation for a retail organization with manufacturing operations.This is a hands-on leadership role focused on delivering technology initiatives, driving adoption, and ensuring strategic projects achieve measurable business outcomes—not developing technology strategy alone. The ideal consultant will bring deep operational leadership experience, thrive in fast-paced transformation environments, and be comfortable leading cross-functional technology teams across the Middle East.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the execution of the organization's technology roadmap, ensuring key initiatives are delivered successfully and generate measurable business value.Oversee enterprise technology programs, including ERP implementation, CRM/Salesforce initiatives, and technology adoption across the business.Drive organizational change management efforts to improve user adoption of existing and newly implemented technology platforms.Provide leadership to a multi-disciplinary technology organization spanning data, software development, e-commerce, and project management teams.Partner with internal stakeholders, vendors, and implementation partners to remove roadblocks and accelerate execution.Travel regularly throughout the Middle East to work directly with technology teams and business leadership.QualificationsProgressive technology leadership experience, ideally as a CTO, SVP of Technology, VP of Technology, or equivalent executive role.Proven track record leading the execution of enterprise technology transformations rather than serving primarily in strategic or advisory capacities.Strong experience overseeing ERP implementations and enterprise technology delivery in complex organizations.Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and enterprise application ecosystems.Experience leading diverse technology functions, including data teams, software development, e-commerce, and project management organizations.Background within retail is required; experience supporting retail businesses with manufacturing operations is highly preferred.Demonstrated ability to lead large technology organizations, drive accountability, and deliver results in hybrid, cross-regional environments.Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Middle East while working primarily in a hybrid capacity within the region.Project DetailsStart: September 2026Duration: 12 months with likely extensionTime commitment: 5 days per weekLocation: Hybrid with visits across the Middle EastProject ID: 9171*This is a contract role that does not offer health benefits
