Interior Designer

Job OverviewWe are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to develop functional, aesthetically appealing, and practical interior design concepts for residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, and fit-out projects in the UAE. The candidate will be responsible for developing design concepts, preparing drawings and presentations, coordinating with clients and project teams, and ensuring that designs comply with project requirements, specifications, and applicable UAE standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop creative interior design concepts based on client requirements, project brief, budget, and functionality.Prepare space planning, furniture layouts, reflected ceiling plans, flooring layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed interior drawings.Develop mood boards, material boards, color schemes, furniture selections, and design presentations.Prepare detailed design proposals and 3D visualizations where required.Produce accurate drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, or other relevant design software.Select and specify appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, lighting, and accessories.Coordinate design drawings with architects, MEP engineers, structural consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor design implementation.Review shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, and technical submissions to ensure compliance with approved designs.Coordinate with the procurement and materials teams regarding finishes, furniture, fixtures, and other interior materials.Attend client meetings, design presentations, site meetings, and coordination meetings as required.Prepare BOQ-related information, material specifications, and design schedules when required.Ensure compliance with project specifications, UAE building requirements, authority requirements, and applicable health and safety standards.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in interior design; UAE/GCC experience is preferred.Experience in interior fit-out, commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, or office projects is an advantage.Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant 3D/design software.Knowledge of SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Escape/Lumion is preferred.Good knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and construction methods.Ability to read and interpret architectural, MEP, and construction drawings.
