Apply & track with Apply EdgeMRG is seeking an experienced Interior Designer for our client, a Real Estate Development company, to join an in-house technical services team, supporting the delivery of residential apartment and hotel projects.This opportunity will suit a technically strong interior design professional who combines sound design judgement with the ability to manage consultants, coordinate complex packages and maintain consistent quality across multiple projects.Reporting to the Lead Architect, you will review external consultants’ submissions, guide revisions and ensure interior design packages meet project briefs, brand standards and operational requirements. You will play a key role in ensuring designs are technically coordinated, buildable and delivered within agreed programmes.The RoleWorking across multiple concurrent residential and hospitality developments, you will review interior design packages from concept through schematic and detailed design, including furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E).You will work closely with architectural, construction and commercial teams, external designers, hotel operators and contractors to resolve design issues and support effective project delivery. The position carries technical review responsibility for external consultants’ work, with no direct line reports.The role is predominantly office-based, with site visits required according to project needs.Key ResponsibilitiesReview interior design consultant submissions from concept through schematic and detailed design, including drawings, specifications and FF&E packages for residential apartment and hotel projects.Issue clear technical comments and follow up with consultants to ensure revisions are incorporated accurately and within agreed deadlines.Assess design packages for technical quality, completeness and compliance with project briefs, brand standards and quality requirements.Coordinate interior design with architectural, MEP, joinery and fit-out packages, identifying and resolving clashes, gaps and interface issues.Identify design decisions that could affect cost, programme or buildability and escalate risks to the Lead Architect.Manage consultant deliverables and track outstanding design reviews, revisions and coordination matters across multiple concurrent projects.Support multidisciplinary design reviews and clash detection, ensuring interior design requirements are integrated into wider project documentation.Coordinate responses to site requests for information (RFIs), working closely with the Lead Architect, consultants and construction teams.Maintain accurate and up-to-date interior design drawing and document registers within Procore.Review hotel operator and tenant design submissions for compliance with project design guidelines and operational requirements.Provide technical input on FF&E, materials, finishes and fit-out specifications to support quality, functionality and coordinated delivery.Liaise with construction, commercial, cost control, leasing and property management teams to resolve design matters and support informed decisions.Contribute to early-stage feasibility assessments, including interior design scope, standards and indicative costs.Attend site visits as required to support the resolution of interior design and coordination issues.Candidate ProfileYou will bring a strong technical understanding of interior design and a disciplined approach to reviewing and coordinating consultant-led packages. You should be confident challenging submissions constructively, communicating clear requirements and ensuring agreed actions are completed.The successful candidate will demonstrate:A bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related discipline.A minimum of seven years’ interior design experience, including hands-on review and coordination of consultant packages for residential and/or hospitality projects.International experience.Strong knowledge of interior design drawings, specifications, FF&E and fit-out requirements.The ability to assess design quality, technical completeness, buildability and compliance with project standards.Experience coordinating interior design with architectural, MEP and specialist packages.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and 3D visualisation tools.Experience using Procore to manage drawing and document registers.Strong consultant management, stakeholder communication and organisational skills.A detail-oriented, quality-driven approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.Salary & BenefitsCompetitive salary, annual performance bonus, medical insurance and air tickets.This position offers the opportunity to influence the quality and delivery of residential and hospitality interiors within an in-house design and engineering function.
