About The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and highly organised Interior Engineering Team Leader to lead our Interior Engineering team and oversee the complete technical and production implementation of yacht interior projects.The ideal candidate must have solid professional experience in the yacht industry, with a strong understanding of yacht interior outfitting, furniture production, materials, installation, and technical coordination.This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for planning, organising, coordinating, and controlling the work of the Interior Engineering team, while maintaining continuous communication with designers, production, purchasing, and other departments.The Team Leader will act as the key link between design requirements, client expectations, engineering solutions, and production execution, ensuring that all interior elements are delivered according to the required quality, design, technical specifications, and project schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, organise, and coordinate the activities of the Interior Engineering teamAllocate tasks and responsibilities to team members according to project priorities and individual capabilitiesMonitor the progress, workload, and performance of the Interior Engineering teamReview and control 3D models, 2D drawings, technical documentation, and production details before release to productionEnsure that design requirements are correctly translated into technically feasible and production-ready solutionsMaintain continuous communication with interior designers, architects, project managers, and other relevant stakeholdersReceive, analyse, and implement client and designer requirements, ensuring that agreed changes are properly incorporated into the engineering and production processParticipate in design reviews and provide technical feedback regarding manufacturability, installation, materials, tolerances, and production methodsCoordinate closely with workshop and production teams to ensure that furniture and interior elements are manufactured according to approved designs and technical requirementsMonitor the execution and installation of interior furniture and outfitting on board the yachtsIdentify and resolve technical and production issues, coordinating with the relevant departments when requiredEnsure that design changes and modifications are properly documented, communicated, and implementedCoordinate with the Purchasing Department regarding materials, components, hardware, and other interior outfitting requirementsReview material and component requirements and ensure that purchasing activities are aligned with project schedulesFollow up on procurement status and identify potential delays that could affect productionCoordinate with the warehouse/stock team to ensure the availability of required interior materials and componentsSupport the development and standardisation of interior construction methods, materials, details, and technical solutionsEnsure that engineering documentation is complete, accurate, and issued to the relevant departments on timeMonitor project deadlines and ensure that the Interior Engineering team delivers its tasks according to the project scheduleMaintain clear communication between Design, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Project ManagementProvide technical support and guidance to Junior and Senior Interior Engineers where requiredIdentify recurring production or design issues and implement corrective and preventive actionsContinuously improve engineering and production workflows within the Interior Engineering departmentEnsure that the final product meets the required quality, design intent, functionality, and yacht-specific standardsRequirementsRequirementsMinimum 5 years of professional experience in the yacht industry, preferably in yacht interior engineering, outfitting, furniture production, or a related fieldPrevious experience in a team leadership or supervisory position is strongly preferredStrong understanding of yacht interior construction, furniture, materials, hardware, and installation methodsStrong knowledge of technical drawings, 3D modelling, and engineering documentationGood knowledge of SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD softwareProven ability to coordinate between design, engineering, production, purchasing, and installation teamsStrong understanding of production processes and the practical implementation of interior design solutionsExcellent communication and coordination skillsStrong spoken and written EnglishAbility to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneouslyStrong organisational and problem-solving skillsAbility to make decisions and take ownership of technical and production-related issuesAbility to lead a team while maintaining a practical, hands-on approachHigh attention to detail and strong commitment to qualityNice to HavePrevious experience working on luxury yachts or bespoke yacht interiorsExperience working directly with yacht interior designers, architects, or clientsExperience in furniture manufacturing, carpentry, or interior outfittingKnowledge of marine materials, hardware, and interior systemsExperience with procurement and supplier coordinationExperience with project planning and task management systemsKnowledge of relevant yacht construction
