Role: The Intermediate / Senior Industrial Designer leads the development, coordination, and execution of custom furniture, fixtures, and product design within hospitality and luxury interior environments. Withextensive professional experience, this role is responsible for driving design development fromconcept through fabrication and implementation, balancing strong creative vision with technicalexpertise and production knowledge.Working closely with project leads, interior designers, fabricators, consultants, vendors, and externalcollaborators, the Intermediate / Senior Industrial Designer translates conceptual ideas into highly resolved, technically sophisticated, and buildable design solutions. This role requires a high level of designsensibility, technical problem-solving ability, organization, and confidence managing complex projectscopes within fast-paced multidisciplinary environments.With minimum 5+ years professional experience, this role contributes to concept development, design refinement, 3D modeling, technical documentation, material research, vendor coordination, and presentation deliverables across multiple project phases.

Responsibilities

Contributes to design research across precedent, vendors, materials, fabrication methods, and emerging cultural/design references aligned with project vision.Collaborates with vendors, fabricators, and consultants to review materials, fabrication methods, prototypes, and technical details.Demonstrates strong understanding of furniture construction methods, joinery, material behavior, fabrication techniques, and manufacturing processes.Contributes to conceptual exploration through studies, imagery, sketching and design refinement exercises.Participates actively in internal reviews, design coordination meetings, consultant meetings and presentation preparation.Coordinates with interior design teams to integrate furniture development within overall project execution.Credentials:Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Furniture Design, Architecture, or related discipline.Advanced proficiency in Solid Works, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp (considered an asset)
