Meraki Finserve is deeply engaged in U.S. Accounting and Taxation, including 1040 and 1041 returns, offering comprehensive support across bookkeeping, financial services, payroll, and AR/AP management.Role Description The Intern role at Meraki Finserve is a full-time on-site position based in Pune District. The intern will support day-to-day accounting and tax activities, including data entry, preparation and review of financial records, and assistance with bookkeeping and reconciliations. Responsibilities include helping with U.S. tax preparation tasks, organizing documentation for returns, and supporting the team in handling accounts payable and receivable. The intern will also assist with payroll-related documentation, basic financial analysis, and preparation of reports under the guidance of senior team members. This role offers hands-on exposure to U.S. Accounting and Taxation processes, with mentorship to build practical skills in a professional services environment.Qualifications Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial statement basics.Candidates should possess skills related to tax concepts, U.S. taxation fundamentals, and interest in tax planning and compliance.Candidates should possess proficiency in spreadsheets and accounting tools, along with strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document work clearly and collaborate with team members.Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Enrollment in or completion of a degree program in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.Willingness to learn U.S. Accounting, U.S. Taxation, and AR/AP processes, and to work on-site in Pune District.Basic understanding of payroll concepts and interest in building a career in professional financial services is an advantage.
