The first is supporting the team's day-to-day research and portfolio work across asset classes. The second is a research project of your own: a question we genuinely want answered, which you will take from framing to final recommendation to the partners at the end of your internship.Past and possible projects include:What would a sensible allocation to infrastructure look like for a generational portfolioHow have long-horizon investors performed through past periods of high inflationHedging in a high interest rate environmentWhat you will doResearch companies, sectors, markets and macroeconomic themes, and summarise what matters for the portfolioBuild financial models, valuation analyses and market screensPrepare material for investment discussions and portfolio reviewsTrack market developments and flag what is relevant to our holdingsLead your own research project and present your conclusionsWhat we look forCurrently pursuing, or recently completed, a degree in finance, economics, mathematics or social sciences.Strong analytical and quantitative ability, and comfortable with Excel/ Bloomberg TerminalClear, concise writing (without AI use)Curiosity about how markets and asset classes connect, and a genuine interest in investingTakes initiative.
