The platform connects social development actors, business communities, and thoughtful individuals to foster a value-led society and meaningful collaboration.Role Description The Intern Program and Research role is an on-site internship based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The intern will support the design and coordination of learning programs, workshops, and initiatives aligned with VAALO avant-garde’s social innovation and human development goals. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with program planning, collecting and organizing data, conducting research on social business models and development practices, and preparing reports and presentation materials. The intern will collaborate with team members, engage with partner communities, help document project outcomes, and contribute ideas for value-led, ethically guided initiatives. This role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to social entrepreneurship, program development, and research in a collaborative environment.Qualifications Strong research and analytical abilities, including literature review, data collection, and basic data interpretation.Program support skills such as planning, coordination, documentation, and follow-up on activities and events.Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports, summaries, and presentations.Interest in social innovation, human development, ethical business practices, and community engagement.Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team setting, demonstrating initiative, adaptability, and reliability.Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in social sciences, development studies, business, or a related field is preferred.Basic proficiency in productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software); familiarity with research tools is an advantage.Respect for diverse perspectives and commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive practices.
