Internal Audit Manager – Financial Reporting(Insurance)

We are seeking an experienced Financial Services Audit(Internal Audit) professional for a 3-month onsite engagement with a leading (Insurance)client in Riyadh.The resource will work closely with the client's Internal Audit (IA) team to deliver an internal audit engagement focused on Financial Statements, Financial Reporting and related control processes.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the Insurance / Financial Services sector, with hands-on expertise in IFRS 17, IFRS 9, financial reporting, insurance accounting, ICFR, regulatory reporting and internal audit.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute Internal Audit of Financial Statements and Financial Reporting processes in collaboration with the client’s IA team.Assess IFRS 17 compliance, including reserving, liability measurement and disclosures.Review IFRS 9 ECL models, impairment processes and related controls.Assess ICFR design and operating effectiveness, including key financial controls.Review statutory and regulatory reporting processes and controls.Perform audit walkthroughs, testing, identify control gaps and document findings.Prepare audit working papers, observations and recommendations and present findings to key stakeholders.Support the client IA team in audit reporting and closure of identified issues.Required Experience & Skills-7–8+ years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, Financial Services Audit, Insurance Audit, Financial Reporting Audit or a related assurance role.Strong Insurance sector experience is mandatory.Strong understanding and practical experience of IFRS 17, particularly:ReservingLiability measurementInsurance contract accountingCSMIFRS 17 disclosuresGood working knowledge of IFRS 9 and ECL models.Strong experience in ICFR design, control assessment and control testing.Experience in statutory audit, internal audit and/or financial reporting assurance.Experience with regulatory reporting and financial reporting processes within Insurance/Financial Services.Qualifications-CIA / CPA / ACCA preferred.CA / ACA / CIMA or equivalent professional accounting/audit qualification may also be considered.Visa Requirement- The candidate would either be in KSA with valid visa or if overseas have a valid visa already issued for the duration of this engagement.
