Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole PurposeThe Internal Communication Specialist is responsible for developing and executing internal communication initiatives that enhance employee engagement, strengthen organizational culture, and ensure employees are informed and aligned with the company’s priorities, values, and key developments.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement internal communication plans and campaigns aligned with organizational priorities and employee engagement objectives.Create, edit, and distribute engaging internal content across communication channels, including emails, newsletters, intranet, digital screens, announcements, and internal platforms.Coordinate company-wide communications related to organizational updates, initiatives, policies, events, achievements, and employee activities.Partner with HR, Marketing, Corporate Communications, and other departments to ensure consistent and timely internal messaging.Support leadership communications by preparing announcements, presentations, talking points, and employee messages.Develop communication campaigns that promote company culture, values, employee recognition, and engagement initiatives.Manage and maintain the internal communication calendar to ensure effective planning and coordination of communications.Support internal events, town halls, employee engagement activities, and organizational campaigns.Ensure all internal communications maintain consistent branding, tone of voice, and messaging standards.Gather employee feedback and monitor engagement with internal communication initiatives.Track communication effectiveness through engagement metrics, surveys, readership data, and employee feedback, and recommend improvements.Identify new communication channels, tools, and approaches to improve employee reach and engagement.Support change management initiatives by developing clear communication materials that help employees understand organizational changes.Coordinate internal communication requirements across different business units, locations, and employee populations.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Human Resources, Journalism, or a related field.Experience in internal communications, corporate communications, employee engagement, or a related field.Experience working within a large, multi-location, retail, or corporate organization is preferred.
