- Doctor of medicine (MD) degree
- 1 year internship and 3 years clinical residency training, specializing in internal medicine.
- Diplomate, Philippine College of Physicians (PCP)
- Valid and active PRC medical license
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communicator who can empathize with patients
Job Description
- Consults with adult patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns.
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, such as bacterial/viral/fungal/protozoal infections, as well as chronic lifestyle diseases and conditions, such as hypertension, diabetes, GERD.
- Prescribes or administers medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
- Explains procedures and discusses test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
- Monitors patients' conditions and progress, and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary.
- Provides health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Immunizes patients against preventable diseases.
- Maintains detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results.
- Refers patients to other subspecialists, when necessary.
- Provides support and advice to patients receiving long-term care.
- Prepares official health documents(e.g., DOH TB notification) or records, when necessary.
