The firm combines strong technical expertise with a commercial and entrepreneurial approach to client service.The International Arbitration TeamThe International Arbitration team acts for clients across a broad range of commercial and investment disputes, working under a variety of institutional and ad hoc arbitration rules.The practice handles matters involving multiple jurisdictions and governing laws, with particular strength in complex disputes arising from international business relationships and investments.The team's sector experience includes areas such as:Energy and natural resourcesConstruction and infrastructureFinanceTelecommunications and technologyShippingReal estateLife sciencesThe team also has significant experience in arbitration-related court proceedings, including interim relief, injunctions, evidence and disclosure applications and the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards.The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a 4–7 PQE International Arbitration lawyer to work closely with Partners and more junior members of the team. You will play a significant role in the management of complex international arbitration matters while also helping to develop the wider practice.You will be expected to:Manage client matters and take responsibility for significant aspects of complex arbitrationsRun matters or substantial workstreams with limited Partner supervisionDraft pleadings, submissions, witness statements, expert materials and other arbitration documentationAssist with hearings and, where appropriate, undertake oral advocacy before arbitral tribunalsManage procedural and case-management issues throughout the life of a disputeWork with clients, counsel, experts and local lawyers across multiple jurisdictionsAssist with arbitration-related court proceedings, including interim applications and enforcementIdentify and develop opportunities for additional work with existing and prospective clientsContribute to business development and the growth of the practiceThe CandidateWe are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded arbitration lawyer with a strong technical foundation and genuine enthusiasm for international disputes.You will ideally have:Qualification as a solicitor in England & WalesStrong experience in international arbitration gained within a recognised disputes practiceExperience managing complex arbitration matters with limited Partner supervisionExperience across a range of sectors and/or jurisdictionsStrong drafting and case-management skillsExperience working with international clients, counsel, experts and local advisersExperience of oral advocacy before an arbitral tribunal would be advantageousExperience of arbitration-related High Court proceedings would be beneficialExcellent commercial judgement and the ability to understand the client's wider objectivesStrong client-facing and relationship-building skillsExperience supervising and mentoring junior lawyersSalary & BenefitsA competitive salary and benefits package is available, reflecting the experience and seniority of the successful candidate. For this level it will be upwards of £140,000.
