Role Overview :The Business Operations Specialist (International Markets) will support the Business Operations Head in driving business growth, partner success, and operational excellence across NIIT's West Africa (WAC) and Asia Pacific (APAC) markets. The role involves day-to-day management of international licensees and partners, tracking business performance, and coordinating with internal teams; it will grow into ownership of specific countries or partner clusters.

Key Responsibilities

Business Operations & Partner Support :Serve as the primary operational point of contact for an assigned portfolio of international licensees and business partners.Support partners in business planning, sales development, marketing initiatives, and operational execution.Assist in conducting periodic business reviews with partners and follow up on agreed action items.Coordinate with internal teams (delivery, marketing, finance, product, legal) to ensure timely partner support.Business Development Support :Assist in identifying and developing new opportunities with educational institutions, corporates, and government initiatives.Support market entry and expansion initiatives, including preparing proposals, presentations, and business cases.Help develop and execute country-specific growth plans under the Head's guidance.Performance Tracking & Governance :Track partner and market performance against targets, and prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and forecasts.Flag gaps and support corrective actions in partner performance.Monitor compliance with contractual commitments, operational standards, and organizational policies.Support forecasting, budgeting, and business review cycles.Stakeholder Engagement :Build working relationships with partner teams, university representatives, and industry stakeholdersSupport the Head in preparing for and following up on international meetings, conferences, and strategic forums.Represent NIIT in partner interactions and meetings as delegated.Market Intelligence & PlanningTrack market trends, competitor activity, regulatory developments, and emerging opportunities in assigned territories.Prepare market insights, research notes, and recommendations to inform product, partnership, and expansion decisions.Experience :3–7 years in International Business Development, Business Operations, Channel or Franchise Management, or Partner Ecosystem Management.Experience in Education, Learning Solutions, Training, Skilling, or EdTech is preferred.Exposure to working with international clients or partners across cultures is an advantage; experience in Africa or Asia Pacific is a plus.Key Competencies :Channel and partner managementBusiness operations and process orientationBusiness development and market expansion supportCommercial and financial acumen (P&L, revenue tracking, forecasting)Data analysis and MIS reporting (advanced Excel, PowerPoint)Stakeholder and relationship managementCross-cultural communicationStrong written and verbal communication, with negotiation skillsPlanning, follow-through, and ownership
