International Compliance Manager

Are you a commercial, hands-on compliance professional with deep expertise in the toy industry?We are recruiting for a premier, global brand owner and worldwide distributor looking for an International Compliance Manager to join their growing team. Reporting directly to the Head of Buying, you will take full ownership of product safety and regulatory standards across the UK and international markets.This isn’t just a box-ticking exercise — They need a practical problem-solver who embeds compliance seamlessly into the product development lifecycle while supporting commercial growth.Key ResponsibilitiesManage product compliance from initial concept through to artwork sign-off, testing, and range management.Determine target-market standards, manage risk assessments, technical files, BOMs, and age-grading/labelling requirements.Oversee testing programmes with accredited labs, toxicologists, and technical specialists.Work closely with Far East suppliers, global retail clients, and enforcement bodies (e.g. Trading Standards, OPSS).Oversee ethical sourcing documentation, factory audits, and packaging/waste compliance data.What they're Looking ForMinimum 5 years’ experience in the toy industry with significant international product compliance exposure.In-depth knowledge of global toy safety legislation, testing standards, test report reviews, and technical files.Ability to find compliant, creative solutions rather than simply flagging roadblocks.Confident, proactive, and able to break down complex regulations for internal teams, suppliers, and retail partners.Interested?
