JOB PURPOSEThe International Finance Business Partner is responsible for supporting the day-to-day finance and accounting activities of international offices, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, cash management, compliance, and financial analysis. The role serves as a key finance contact for international offices, internal stakeholders, banks, auditors, vendors, and external service providers, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations across multiple jurisdictions. The position will perform hands-on finance activities while supporting the Finance Manager in strengthening financial controls, improving processes, and providing reliable financial information for management decision-making.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:International Finance Operations & AccountingManage day-to-day finance and accounting activities for assigned international offices.Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with applicable accounting standards, policies, and procedures.Process journals, accruals, prepayments, provisions, intercompany transactions, and general ledger activities.Maintain accurate accounting records and coordinate with international offices and external accounting providers.Monitor finance activities and identify issues requiring management attention.Ensure consistent application of finance policies and procedures.Accounts Payable & Vendor ManagementManage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice verification, coding, approvals, posting, and payments.Review invoices against purchase orders, contracts, and supporting documentation.Monitor outstanding invoices, payment schedules, supplier balances, and aged payables.Resolve invoice and payment issues with vendors and internal stakeholders.Coordinate vendor-related matters with Procurement and business teams.Perform supplier reconciliations and ensure appropriate treatment of VAT/GST, withholding taxes, and applicable charges.Accounts Receivable & Revenue Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, collections, receipts, and reconciliations.Monitor overdue balances and follow up with relevant stakeholders and customers.Investigate discrepancies between invoices, receipts, customer balances, and accounting records.Prepare ageing reports, highlight collection risks, and support initiatives to improve working capital.Financial Reporting & AnalysisPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for international offices.Prepare management reports covering expenditure, budgets, variances, cash positions, receivables, and payables.Analyze financial performance and significant budget/forecast variances.Provide explanations and recommendations to management.Consolidate and validate financial information from international offices and external accounting providers.Support financial statements, reporting packages, and ad hoc financial analysis.Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial PlanningSupport annual budgets and periodic forecasts for international offices.Coordinate with office managers and stakeholders to obtain budget assumptions and expenditure requirements.Monitor actual expenditure against approved budgets and provide variance analysis.Support the Finance Manager in forecasting potential cost pressures and savings opportunities.Ensure financial commitments remain aligned with approved budgets and organizational priorities.Cash Management & BankingMonitor cash balances and liquidity requirements across international offices.Coordinate funding requirements with international offices and the Finance Manager.Review banking activities and perform regular bank reconciliations.Coordinate with local and international banks on payments, documentation, and account administration.Support foreign currency transactions and monitor foreign exchange impacts.Identify and escalate potential cash flow issues.Reconciliations & Financial ControlsPerform bank, supplier, customer, intercompany, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations.Investigate and resolve outstanding and reconciling items.Review accounting entries and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.Support implementation and monitoring of financial controls.Identify control weaknesses, financial risks, and process gaps and recommend corrective actions.Maintain adequate supporting documentation for transactions and audit purposes.Tax, Regulatory Compliance & AuditSupport compliance with applicable accounting, tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax, statutory reporting, and other financial requirements.Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, auditors, and professional service providers.Support preparation of statutory financial and tax-related information.Support internal and external audits and implementation of agreed corrective actions.Monitor changes in financial and tax requirements affecting international offices.Intercompany & International TransactionsProcess and reconcile transactions between headquarters and international offices.Monitor intercompany balances and ensure timely settlement.Support cross-border funding, recharges, cost allocations, and related documentation.Coordinate foreign currency, transfer pricing, and other cross-border finance matters where applicable.Finance Systems, Data & Process ImprovementMaintain accurate financial information within ERP and finance systems.Support finance system enhancements and automation initiatives.Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve reporting and controls.Support financial data quality and consistency across systems.Develop finance templates, trackers, reconciliations, dashboards, and reporting tools.Contribute to continuous improvement of international finance processes.Stakeholder & Service Provider ManagementAct as a key finance contact for international office managers and business stakeholders.Provide guidance on accounting, payments, budgeting, reporting, and other financial matters.Coordinate with accountants, auditors, tax advisors, banks, payroll providers, and other service providers.Monitor service provider performance against agreed deliverables and timelines.Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across different jurisdictions and time zones.Escalate significant financial, operational, compliance, or control issues to the Finance Manager.QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.Professional accounting qualification, or progress toward ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent, is preferred.Minimum 5–8 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, financial reporting, or a similar finance role.Experience supporting multiple entities, branches, subsidiaries, or international offices is highly desirable.Strong practical experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting.Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.Experience dealing with auditors, accountants, tax advisors, banks, and financial service providers.Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems; Oracle Fusion or similar ERP experience is preferred.Good understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial processes.Knowledge of international accounting, taxation, VAT/GST, and cross-border transactions is an advantage.Strong Excel and financial data analysis skills.Experience working with geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders across different countries and time zones is preferred.
