Apply & track with Apply EdgePOSITION OVERVIEW Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee global payroll operations for 300-400 employees across multiple countries. The role requires expertise in international payroll processing, multi-country tax compliance, and knowledge of varied labor laws and statutory requirements across different jurisdictions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Payroll Operations Process and manage payroll for employees across multiple countries Calculate salaries, wages, deductions, and benefits accurately and on schedule Ensure timely salary disbursement across different countries and payment methods Reconcile payroll accounts with finance records Multi-Country Compliance Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory obligations in each country of operation Manage country-specific deductions (taxes, social security, insurance, pensions) Prepare and file payroll tax returns and government submissions per country requirements Stay updated on changes in international labor laws and tax regulations Coordinate with local tax authorities and third-party administrators in different countries Manage employee master data for all countries Generate country-specific payroll reports and compliance documentation Employee Benefits & Statutory Obligations Process country-specific benefits, leave encashments, and statutory benefits Manage pension, retirement, and social security contributions per country regulations Handle expatriate payroll, allowances, and tax equalization (if applicable) Maintain records of all statutory obligations and deductions by country Employee Support & Documentation Respond to payroll inquiries from employees in different countries Prepare salary certificates, experience letters, and payroll documentation Support employee offboarding and final settlements per country requirements Audits & Records Prepare for internal and external audits in multiple jurisdictions Maintain compliant payroll documentation per local retention requirements Conduct regular payroll reconciliations and variance analysis REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, HR, or related field Payroll/HR certification preferred (ICWAI, CIPHR, or equivalent) Experience Minimum 6-8 years in international or multi-country payroll management Proven experience managing payroll for 300+ employees Experience with multi-currency and multi-jurisdictional payroll processing Core Skills Advanced MS Excel and data management proficiency Expertise in international payroll systems and HRIS platforms Strong knowledge of global tax compliance and statutory requirements Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus Understanding of GDPR and international data privacy regulations Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume transactions PERFORMANCE METRICS Payroll accuracy rate ≥ 99.5% across all countries 100% on-time payroll processing and delivery Zero compliance violations in all jurisdictions Successful completion of all country-specific audits Employee satisfaction with payroll services Timely filing of all statutory returns
