The associate will advise U.S. and multinational clients on sophisticated customs, import compliance, and related international trade matters.Responsibilities:Advise clients on U.S. customs and import compliance matters.Handle tariff classification, valuation, country of origin, and enforcement-related matters.Support matters involving export controls, economic sanctions, and CFIUS.Advise clients on related trade and security matters.Work closely with experienced practitioners on complex international trade matters.Develop increasing responsibility and direct client interaction.Qualifications:3-5 years of relevant international trade experience.Meaningful experience with U.S. customs and import compliance laws.Experience with tariff classification, valuation, country of origin, and/or customs enforcement matters.Experience with export controls, economic sanctions, or CFIUS preferred.Strong academic credentials.Excellent research, writing, analytical, verbal, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.Admission to the D.C. Bar required.Compensation: $225,000-$310,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits.
