We are passionate about nurturing young tech talent and providing practical, hands-on experience through mentorship and collaborative projects.Role OverviewWe are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Mobile App Developer Intern who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the development of scalable mobile applications. This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced developers on real projects while gaining valuable industry experience. ResponsibilitiesFeature development — Build and maintain screens and features across the app's modules using Flutter and Dart, working independently from requirements through to delivery. Requirements-to-UI workflow — Take existing project documentation, study and understand the requirements, and use UI-generation tools to produce UI designs and user-flow mockups. Present these to Management for review and approval before development begins.Bug fixing & QA — Investigate, reproduce and resolve reported bugs, and address issues raised during QA testing cycles.API integration — Connect the mobile app to backend services via REST APIs, handling requests, responses, error states and authentication (JWT / secure storage).State management & navigation — Implement app state and screen flow using the project's existing patterns (Riverpod, go_router).UI implementation — Build approved designs into responsive, consistent Flutter UI that matches the existing design system and theme.Version control & collaboration — Use Git on Azure DevOps: work on feature branches, raise pull requests, and respond to review feedback.Testing & release support — Test on Android/iOS devices and support app build and release activities.Ownership & reporting — Independently manage assigned tasks and provide regular progress updates to the Team Lead.Requirements/Desired SkillSolid working knowledge of Flutter and Dart, with the ability to build features end-to-end. Strong grasp of mobile app fundamentals; widgets, layouts, navigation, app lifecycle, state management.Ability to read and interpret documentation/requirements and turn them into clear UI workflows using UI-generation/design tools provided.Familiarity with consuming REST APIs (JSON, HTTP requests, async/await, error handling)Comfortable with Git (branches, commits, pull requests)Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.Good communication skills for when working across various departments.What You'll GainHands-on experience working on live software projects.Monthly stipends of #50,000 (naira).Mentorship from experienced software engineers.Exposure to Agile and Scrum methodologies.Opportunity to build a strong professional portfolio.Certificate of Completion upon successful completion of the internship.Possibility of retention based on performance and business needs.How to ApplyInterested candidates should send their CV to (recruitment@preferreddigitalbusiness.com) with the subject: 'Application – Backend Developer Intern'.
