You will be working for a well-established company in the food distribution industry that specializes in supplying high-quality food products to restaurants, retailers, and commercial customers.Benefits:401KPaid time offResponsibilities:Credit Memo Processing:Review, validate, and process customer credit requests related to shortages, damaged goods, mispicks, spoilage, or quality concerns.Investigate credit claims by coordinating with warehouse staff, drivers, QC teams, and customer service.Ensure credit memos meet company financial and documentation requirements.Maintain digital and physical records of all credit transactions and supporting evidence (photos, BOLs, return forms, etc.).Communicate with customers or internal teams to resolve discrepancies efficiently.Inventory Control:Perform regular cycle counts and assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual physical inventories.Research and reconcile inventory variances related to picking errors, damaged cases, product rotation issues, or receiving discrepancies.Monitor aging inventory, spoilage, and expiration dates to reduce waste.Ensure accurate inventory adjustments are entered into the warehouse management system (WMS).Support warehouse leads in monitoring FIFO/FEFO compliance.Reporting & Documentation:Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on credit trends, shrink, and inventory accuracy.Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements to reduce waste and improve warehouse accuracy.Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and warehouse operational standards.Qualifications:1–3 years of experience in food warehousing, distribution, inventory control, or related field.Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and Excel.Strong understanding of FIFO/FEFO, cold-chain processes, and food-handling requirements.Ability to interpret BOLs, pick tickets, invoices, and quality control documentation.Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and investigative skills.Must have prior experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.Steel-toe boots are required.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, or move within a warehouse for extended periods.Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments when necessary.Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs occasionally.Work Environment:Fast‑paced food warehouse environment with frequent collaboration across warehouse, sales, and customer service teams.May require early morning, weekend, or overtime hours depending on operational needs.
